Women are lucky

Civilians are lucky. They get to wear different colored suits every day, different colored shirts, different colored ties and different shoes. I wear the same camouflage uniform and tan boots every day of the week. On the upside, when my boss comes looking for me, I just hold real still until he goes away.

Wait, what? I thought that's what were talking about. I don't know what it's like for gay doods.

/leaves thread.

That is what we were talking about, and that's my problem, you've just stated the problem I have with straight men from this post:

Given the choice between having a multitude of clothes and menstruation or having no menstruation and being able to urinate standing up while wearing dull clothes every day, I'd stick with the male option. But it's a personal preference, I do love women, The one thing I think women have over men is interpersonal relationships. Straight men are crap at friendships. I can't even tell my best friend I love him without being made to feel gay... 🙁

I get up at 3am and bail them out of jail. If I don't then I don't love you. Using words to communicate emotions is dumb.

Yeah I definitely wouldn't want to be a woman. What are the benefits anyway?

- More variety of clothing
- No itchy balls I guess?

And the drawbacks:

- Mood swings that make men not take you seriously
- Often less pay for equal work
- Increased discrimination based on appearance
- Being expected to do more uncomfortable stuff to make yourself look good
- Bleed out your vagina five days every month
- Give birth
- Higher risk of STDs and other "feminine ailments"
- Can't pee standing up
- Can't drive
I see what you did there.

Oh, I c. So your best friend is straight and you're all like "I, love you man". Sorry HAL, but having a straight best friend means you default to the straight man's rules. Handshakes and the half hug/chest *only* bump.

No using words to communicate emotions is brilliant. Unless you're a straight man in which case it is scary and confusing for some reason. If you have to wait for your friend to get arrested at 3am to show them how you feel that is dumb

Exactly, and this is my problem.

Talk is cheap. I'd rather have someone bail me out of jail then "talk" stuff at me.

Why would that be a problem?

Because men can't express their feelings properly with each other, and as a result they have to hold back when making friendships with each other, meaning that their friendships with each other are not as close as the more intimate (in some cases) woman-woman relationship.

Talk at someone isn't great, talking to them is.

Afraid not, I love all my friends, I just used my best friend as an example.

Actions speak louder than words man. Are you there when they need you? like if they need help moving. Or say their car breaks down, do you go help? That's the shit that matters, not if you can say "I love you". I love my friends, both of them 😛 but never once in 15 years of knowing them did I ever express it through words. I keep in touch, hang out when I can (having kids greatly effects this) and help them when they ask. They know I'm here if they need me, that's what brotherly love is.

And occasionally, if you really care, you help them dismember and bury a dead hooker.

Just come out of the closet neckbeard, seriously. It is 2011. We are all friends here.

By you staying in, you are teaching younger people on this forum that it isn't OK to be gay. And that is unacceptable.

I do all those things, but I'm telling you for a fact, when you are in a friendship where you feel you can talk openly about your feelings and feel comfortable with the person it makes for a better, closer friendship than when you can't.

I'm bisexual, I've been out since I was 18.

Is it a weight loss place? Fat chicks seem to like wearing super tight clothes that don't fit properly.

LOL. Close - it's a health insurance company where "personal fitness" is heavily pushed on the employees. You're right. There are a few people who go out of their way to squeeze it into tight jeans. Most are slender enough to keep me firm most of the day though.

lawl at the nubs that have to wear suits to work. I wear whatever the fuck I want to and nobody says shit. I might get the occasional comment from someone that I'm dressing casual or something, I just say yep.
