A bizarre one that certainly wipes the grin off any man’s face, it seems the age old joke of ‘Did she spit or swallow’ is a valid question any man would seriously want answered now.

A man has filed a lawsuit against his ex-girlfriend for abuse, pain, suffering & treachery in a bizarre case which challenged the laws governing child support in America. He filed this claim after his ex-girlfriend obtained a court order forcing him to pay child support for their two year-old daughter. The actual events actually took place in 2005 however the long running battle has brought the issue back in the spotlight.

However it seems the girlfriend needed solid affirmation, in which after oral sex she held the sperm in her mouth and then ended up using a test tube to inject her boyfriend’s semen inside herself.

Curiosity still remains as to how this man was ordered to pay child support when his sperm was used unknowingly. According to reports, Chicago family physician Richard O. Phillips sued his then girlfriend Sharon Irons claiming she put aside his semen after engaging in oral sex and in secret impregnated herself.

Reportedly the two were on good terms in the beginning of their relationship with the intentions of getting married in the future. However it seems the girlfriend needed solid affirmation, in which after oral sex she held the sperm in her mouth and then ended up using a test tube to inject her boyfriend’s semen inside herself.

In the end the courts ordered the man to pay about $800 a month child support in spite of his ex-girlfriends devious scheme. Nonetheless the fact still remained that he was the natural father. And suitable support for his daughter had to be made.

UPDATE:

It appears your article left out some pertinent info. Please read (they had sex, she didn't impregnate herself)

Sperm Was Gift, Sez Court
By Corky Siemaszko

t's a case of conception - by alleged deception.

A Chicago doctor claims his ex-fiancée stole his sperm by performing oral sex - and then used his seed to impregnate herself.

Richard Phillips admits that six years ago he and Sharon Irons, also a physician, had a brief romance.

He insists that during that time they had oral sex three times - but no intercourse.
But Irons' lawyer said Phillips is simply trying to get out of paying child support for their 5-year-old daughter.

"It's the first time I've had a guy use this excuse," the lawyer, Enrico Mirabelli, said. "His complaint is the best work of fiction I have read since 'The Da Vinci Code.'"

In a lawsuit alleging that Irons engaged in "extreme and outrageous" conduct,
Phillips claimed she used subterfuge to get pregnant. He said he broke off their relationship after discovering that Irons was still married.

The Illinois Appeals Court last Wednesday agreed that Phillips, 54, can press a claim for emotional distress, but ruled that Irons didn't steal the sperm.

"She asserts that when plaintiff 'delivered' his sperm, it was a gift," the decision said. "There was no agreement that the original deposit would be returned upon request."
The court did not rule on Phillips' claim on how Irons got pregnant and sent the case back to Cook County Circuit Court.

"It's a pack of lies," Irons, 40, told the Chicago Sun-Times.
Irons said Phillips got her pregnant the old fashioned way and was "very happy" at first. But when Phillips got cold feet and split, Irons said she had to haul him into court to get $800 a month in child support.

Several fertility experts told the Sun-Times the sordid scenario Phillips described could "theoretically" result in a pregnancy.

Looks like his lawyer tried the sperm stealing trick to get him out of paying child support????

I feel sorry for the child, what a despicable, irresponsible father she is stuck with.

Although the mother isn't much better, she was married and carrying on with this guy, and let him think they were going to get married. Sounds like the guy found out she was married and was so pissed that he tried to disown her and the kid by any means possible.

Disgusting. The divorce and child support laws of this country need a complete overhaul.

Wow, I remember reading about this case a few years ago.

Unbelievable that the guy was ordered to pay child support. It can be a scary country out there for men!

The problem is that the woman says they did have intercourse, and that's how she got pregnant. Funny that everyone assumes he's telling the truth and she's lying.

So, this guy NEVER fucked his GF? I find that difficult to believe...there has to be more to this story.

I think the moral of the story is that men should get vasectomies until they are ready to have kids, and then have them undone.

1: that man has some tough sperm to survive a journey through an enzymey mouth, then make it to conception.

2: the lawsuit uses the word "treachery."

awesome! :D

anyway--has this girl admitted to treachery? I find it really hard to believe any court would side with her if she admits to this.

also, how does anyone inject anything...with a test tube?

Child support is such a dumb, archaic law. Birth control is also the woman's responsibility, if she chooses not to protect herself, then she should support the kid.

I would have gotten a vasectomy right when I turned 18 if I could have. Fucking doctors think it's their business to tell you if you're sure you don't want kids.

Hey, doctors, I was sure I didn't want them when I was a teenager, and I'm still sure now as I approach 30. Give me the fucking vasectomy.

Didn't we have some similar thread to this a while back about whether a sperm donor would have to pay child support? The general consensus was that the child always comes first so even if she admitted it, I think he would still have to pony up. On the other hand, I have no problems with her thrown in prison and her child taken by protective services.

IIRC, I would have to get my wife's approval to get one in S.C.

I could be wrong.

Edit: Urban legend. HIPPA, FTW.

I would hope you're wrong. That sounds like a load of bullshit. Do women have to get the approval of their husband if they decide to have an abortion?

I recall reading a story about a man who had to pay for his kids, even though it was proven through DNA that they weren't his kids. Something about that it would be hurtful to the children to stop now years later.

I can't cite anything but a memory so it might have been bullshit.

I remember that. He should have been able to stop and been paid back everything he paid.

Ha, do some think 14 year olds need their parents permission to have one?

Doctors can impose requirements in a private setting in order to protect themselves legally. It’s their choice that they want to do that. While it would be pretty difficult for a wife to successfully sue a doctor for doing a vasectomy on her husband, it wouldn’t surprise me if their legal counsel insisted that they would be better off getting that consent. That said, nobody I know is imposing that kind of requirement.
In short, doctors are given license to decide on whom they perform surgery based on medical judgment and experience, but most of them seem to be conducting themselves reasonably and ethically.
