No, the lesson here is that if you are a pedophile, you must kidnap a child. Then you can legally sit at the park.Originally posted by: Mwilding
So, the lesson here is if you are a pedophile, just claim you didn't see the sign?

It's tough to deal with that problem. There are so many pedos around.
I was at a group picnic three weeks ago at a county park, about 150 people. Lots of kids playing. About 5 PM, one of my friends comes up to me and tells me to keep an eye on some guy walking along the lakeshore near the playground. My friend, an ex-cop, recognized him as a convicted pedophile.
What I would have liked to do is beat the guy to a pulp just for being around kids intentionally. What we ended up doing is making all the kids quit playing and come back to the shelter. After about five minutes, the pedo noticed some of us adults were obviously staring at him and he wandered off to another area of the park. Would anything have happened? I don't know for sure, but I'm sure glad my friend recognized the guy.

The city parks department said the rule is designed to keep pedophiles out of city parks, but a parks spokesman told the Daily News that the department hoped police would use some common sense when enforcing the rule.
The spokesman told the newspaper that ticketing a woman in the park in the middle of the day is not the way you want to enforce the rule.
Woman Ticketed For Sitting On Park Bench Without Kids :Q

Missing a few things... cannot be in that park without kids. She was on a bench, but really got the ticket for being in there. You also missed that police are not a jury. They just enforce the law. The courts determine if it was right or wrong (or the law needs to be changed.) If it is 'dumb,' that is for a judge or jury to decide.

No, they are trying to tell pedophiles that it is a BYOB park.

I wonder if it actually does stop pedophiles. It is hard to believe it would, but I guess if they don't have a place to sit, standing seems suspicious?
