My question is: with 70 tickets, how many accidents did she have that were her fault? If it's zero, seems she drives fine to me.

Its not the driving its the throwing aay 70 tickets with no sense of responsibility.

If you threw away 70 tickets, I'd be screaming for you to learn a lesson.

Yes, the cameras are managed by an Australian company according to the Phoenix newspapers. When the camera flashes for another car, it can blind the car behind it. People also have a habit of slamming on their brakes just before the camera. Those cameras are certainly NOT making that highway safer.

I agree, she was an idiot to throw them away and ignore them. I just hate those cameras... keep hoping someone in a large truck will take them out. :)

I go over the speed limit too but if I know there is a camera on a certain stretch I won't. And doing 70 times and not caring is just is blatant disregard

they are not meant to make the highway safer, they are meant to make money

So, you never speed then?

sure i do 3-8mph over.

but to get 69 tickets? and then throw them away? i have agree with the permanently revoke

Normally, I'd call lying sack of sh!t but since there's really no way to prove it I'm not going to do that.

What an idiot. They should just throw her in jail for her blatant disregard for the law and its consequences. I would think after 3 or 4 tickets, the license would be suspended. In NYS, if you get more than 12 points in an 18 month time period, your license gets suspended for at least 60 days.

whats to lie about? i don't work so do not have anywhere to go in a hurry. So no real reason to speed.

I have said it plenty of times on the board that i do not speed. Usually i do set my cruise at whatever the speed limit is. also when i drive i have my children in the car so do not want to put them at risk.

now when i was 16-20 i did speed a lot. but now? nope i really do not have a reason to do it. shrug.

I don't know why it's so hard to believe. I try to never go more than 8 MPH over the speed limit. Have I gone over it by accident? Of course. But not intentionally.

WTF, a LOT of people go 3-8 over. In fact, that's about average here in Seattle.

Obviously there are areas where people speed more...I remember in the Midwest you could get away with 15 over easily.

SoCal is one of those areas. Everyone speeds here all the time. Typically I'm doing between 70-75 on the freeway and I'm always being passed. When traffic is moving faster I'm keeping up with traffic. Between San Clemente and Oceanside there is no speed limit...well, there is but nobody enforces it or obeys it. I'm usually going between 80-100 mph.

I guess I figured 3-8mph was in the lying zone since 10-20 over is normal here.

Ahhh, that makes some sense at least. Around here if you're under 5 over you're fine, but if you get over that you'll be pulled over if caught. The great percentage of drivers here stay within the limit, with a few being under and a few over.

That's not a toll road.
