Sounds like the speed limit is too low if people can drive safely enough not to collide with other cars yet still acquire 70 speeding tickets.
Are you telling me that speed limits in Illinois are actually set to the flow of traffic? Here in GA pretty much every road I drive on has a speed limit that's between 10-20 MPH lower than you what you can safely drive.

Shh, raising the speed limit would make too much sense, and would deprive the local government of way too much money. Better just to keep ticketing. =P

Yeah, my personal favorites are the 55mph limits on the inner-perimeter portions of 85, and all of 285. Oh, and that ~12 mile phantom "work zone" from Jimmy Carter to Old Peachtree (where the road work is only actually occuring for maybe all of half a mile) is great, too. I think the average speed on all of those roads is, on a conservative day, 75-80.

Speeding cameras in Scottsdale, a suburb of Phoenix, snapped pictures of the 32-year-old woman as she tore through the sun-baked city in her Honda Civic between March 2 and July 31.

that looks like a honda accord with those headlights.

GA has one of the most ass backwards city planning and traffics deparments I have ever seen. We need to raise the speed limits on ALL roads by ATLEAST 5mph. It's such a pain when out of towners come to atlanta, drive the speed limit and then hold up traffic because they just dont know.

I was in GA last week and I was thinking to myself: "Man the state of GA must be really strapped for cash" the speed limit would randomly drop from 70 to 60 and there would be a few cones on the side of the road and a sign that read: "Speeding fines doubled in Construction zones" There was no construction, just some cones and a sign. I'm kind of expecting a ticket, I went to pass someone who started speeding up to be a jackass and it's easy to blow past 100mph in my car if you aren't watching the spedometer. Not making excuses, just saying one of those cameras probably nabbed me.

I don't think it should be suspended, I think it should be revoked, her car impounded and sold to pay her fines, and she should do about 10,000 hours of community service. People need to learn that they're not more important than anyone else.

Typical middle-aged female driver. Surprised it was in a Civic and not an Expedition though. :p

while ithink 69 speeding tickets and her throwing them out is insane. I do think that getting tickets by photo (speeding and red light) should not be allowed.

but damn what kind of idiot throws out the tickets? sheesh i really hope she gets her liscened taken away.

Oh and i agree with IL tollways. they suck. it seems like the move "work zones" around just to fvck with people. they don't do actual work just move them to catch people.

PHOENIX, Arizona (Aug. 12) - As a mortgage broker in Arizona, Francesca Cisneros is used to working with big numbers. It's the double-digit speed limits she has trouble with.

Cisneros racked up 70 speeding tickets in the last five months, a record for the Scottsdale Police Department, police said on Friday.

Speeding cameras in Scottsdale, a suburb of Phoenix, snapped pictures of the 32-year-old woman as she tore through the sun-baked city in her Honda Civic between March 2 and July 31.

"She told arresting officers she was speeding because she seemed to be late for client meetings all the time," Scottsdale Police Department spokesman Mark Clark told Reuters. "I guess she's got some time management issues."

The second-worst offender in the department's history accumulated a mere 25 tickets, Clark said.

Police said Cisneros said she threw her speeding tickets away because she thought nothing could happen to her if she didn't pay them.

Clark said Cisneros faces some $11,000 in fines and could have her license suspended.

What a dumbass. Still, I do feel a bit sorry for her. I speed multiple times a day so I'd be a hypocrite if I said she got what she deserves. Getting caught speeding that many times is going to cost her a small fortune.

too bad the speed limits are set for a '59 caddy with no brakes and a flat tire, and the guy driving has one leg, one arm, a BAC of .30, and he's eating a bigmac and getting a bj, in bad weather.

Georgia usually does not do highway work on weekends out of curtesy to travelers. This was something the Governor instituted not long after taking office.

I seriously hate those cameras. They are setup on the 101 loop around Phoenix. The speed limit is 65 there, but you could easily and safely do 80mph around that loop. It's one of the easiest to drive highways in the USA.

My question is: with 70 tickets, how many accidents did she have that were her fault? If it's zero, seems she drives fine to me.
