I like how they gave out her name and approximate location. :D

Which I found reprehensible.

I have heard of the soup Nazi before but the candy Nazi? Get a grip Shirley Nagel.

Her actual address and phone number has been reported on multiple websites so I think this lady is going to have some problems to deal with of her own making.

Surprise, surprise, she is an alternate Michigan delegate for the GOP and says even kookier, stalkerlike things such as:

Where was she, already?

It felt, Nagel said, like waiting for the appearance of a bride.

Nagel, a retired schoolteacher from Detroit, had anticipated few events as eagerly as she did Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's speech Wednesday night. Ever since Sen. John McCain named her his running mate Friday, Nagel had watched clips of Palin on television, read stories about her in the newspaper, and learned enough about her family -- the new baby, the pregnant daughter, the daughter's boyfriend -- to feel, Nagel said, "like we've known each other for 20 years." All that remained, she said, was a formal introduction.

"You judge a book by its cover, and we've been waiting for that chance with her," said Nagel, dressed in a hockey jersey like the rest of the Michigan delegation. "We want to see how tall she is, if she wears heels, how she wears her hair. That's stuff us Republican women need to know."

When Palin finally did make her introduction, Nagel approved of what she saw -- and heard. Nagel once coached a high school speech and debate team, and she liked how Palin defended her family without sounding defensive. She stood up on her red folding chair at the end of Palin's speech and leaned in to take a picture. "She started with the family and then moved on, just like everybody should do," Nagel shouted above the roar of the crowd. "She's a woman, and she showed she's tough. She attacked Obama. She touched on all the issues. We love her."

In a non socialist country where kids are too use to being pampers and think they deserve everything I for one, am glad kids are being taught early that there choice does indeed matter.

Hopefully when they turn 18, they remember the true face of the republican party, the evil witch who wouldn't give them candy.

Amen

"You need to be THIS stupid to ride the Palin cart." :0

Are they dispensing lead chips at GOP rallies these days? Probably a good thing Buckley is gone, with conservatives like these who needs liberals to despise?

No shit. When I first watched this on live TV the other night, my wife and I both said, why is there a cardboard cutout of Obama on that guy?s porch? I was as equally perplexed by the candy Nazi as I was by little Obama.

I don't even understand the point. It's not like kids have political opinions of their own, they just tend to parrot what their parents say. Seems pretty cruel to punish them for this.

That's exactly what makes this story so bizarre. Why would you discriminate against children?

1) They're too stupid to know anything about EITHER candidate
2) They probably don't care about the election
3) They just want some fucking candy, and she's a dumbass if she thinks that they'll be converted into good little neocons when they grow up just because she wouldn't give them any candy.

Plus he was working the obama pin on his shirt as well.

"it was un. BUH. leivable."

I'd like to vet this guy thoroughly. what does he do with the cutout when the camera crew leaves? Does he wear the pin with him to bed? Does he owe any back taxes? Is his real name joe?

Did you pay attention to the story at all?

That guy put up a rival display AFTER he heard what the woman was doing.

He wanted to throw up a stark contrast for trick-or-treating parents: McCain supporters are douchebags, and Obama supporters like me will hand out candy to your kids regardless of who their parents support.

Good positive PR for Obama.

Can we do a followup interview with her on Nov 5? Methinks she is not going to be a happy camper.

Do you not recognize that you can find idiots supporting either side?
