Political campaigning just hit a new low, and unsurprisingly it comes from a McCain supporter. Children as young as 4 years old, who probably couldn't even tell you when election day is, were harassed to the point of tears by a die-hard McCain supporter who only offered candy to those declaring allegiance to her candidate.

Watch the video; she's clearly bought McCain's venomous attacks hook-line-and-sinker. McCain's unbelievably dirty campaign has pushed many of his supporters to the extreme, full of pure hatred for Obama and his supporters...and now even their young children trick-or-treating on Halloween.

Video

A suburban Detroit woman has decided to scare up the vote among neighborhood children by just offering treats to John McCain supporters.

Shirley Nagel of Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich., handed out candy Friday only to those who shared her support for the Republican presidential candidate and his running mate Sarah Palin. Others were turned away empty-handed.

TV station WJBK, Fox 2 News says a sign outside Nagel?s house warned: ?No handouts for Obama supporters, liars, tricksters or kids of supporters.?

Nagel calls Democrat Barack Obama ?scary.? When asked about children who were turned away empty-handed and crying, she said: ?Oh well. Everybody has a choice.?

There were kids as young as 4 years old that went away crying because she wouldn?t give them any candy. This is so sad that anyone would do this to a child.

In a non socialist country where kids are too use to being pampers and think they deserve everything I for one, am glad kids are being taught early that there choice does indeed matter.

Hopefully when they turn 18, they remember the true face of the republican party, the evil witch who wouldn't give them candy.

And I'll still point and laugh at them for having to live in Detroit.

You can be assured that even Fox News reported negatively towards the woman.

But I mean there is hypocrisy when many who say she shouldn't be using the children to further her political agenda, had no problem with all the children ads promoting Obama. Neither should be acceptable.

And if you think McCain's campaign is "unbelievably dirty", have you not paid any attention to any other election this year or in any years past?

If you live in Illinois like your profile states, I think I would call that a draw ;)

Obama 4 'Mercedes' sign, Americans are so unfamiliar with peace that the symbol has been forgotten. :)

It doesn't break any legal or moral codes to be a jerk and not give certain children candy.

I had trick-or-treaters at my door in 2004 with parents right behind them who were using it as an opportunity to campaign for Bush. I gave them candy (of course) but told the parents I strongly disapproved of using their children and abusing the Halloween custom like that.

Just lousy neighbors. It's hardly unique to either party, but that doesn't make it right either.

It's better then shooting them through the door though!

I agree. You don't use tactics like this. What this woman did was disgusting and ignorant.

The guy in the video (1:10) who was "shocked" is pictured next to his life-size Obama cut-out.

I find it funny that McCain supports call Obama a socialist but will only give "handouts" to those that support McCain. Oh, the ironing.

I don't even understand the point. It's not like kids have political opinions of their own, they just tend to parrot what their parents say. Seems pretty cruel to punish them for this.
