Ok... I never remember wolverine of the xmen (comics) to be nearly indestructable as his hollywood counterpart. The guy they portray is nearly invincible. With an 'unbreakable' skeleton and near instantaneous regenerative abilities, he is simply way to powerful. I remember when he got injured, it would take him quite some time to recover in the comics, but in X3, he heals instantly, just like superman.




Edit: Also, when he stabs someone and gets their blood on his claws, then retracts him, doesn't he face the possibility of getting AIDS? Or does his 'healing' abilities prevent him from getting any STD's?

yes that is very misrepresented, but it is hugh jackman which means he can do anything and it is still cool/hot

Yeah I collected the old wolverine comics up to like 110.. its a 90-100 min movie.. can't take forever to heal.. :)

I'm not too sure, I really wish I would of read the comics more. The ones I read were more graphic and interesting. Anyone know you can go to look at old X-Men comics online???

depended on the injury. some comics he would heal from deep cuts (sabertooth series, deadpool etc) getting shot etc.

he also survived having all the admantium ripped out of his body. granted it took a while but he survived it.

That had to suck. He'd be a rather boring mutant to read about then. "I used to be Wolverine. Now I'm Regenerative Man!"

actually he was kinda cool with it. He still had the claws, healing ability and skill. but it actually put fear in him also.

granted i hated how they had him mutate into a stupid "beast" bah.

They also totally changed the Phoenix story but i dont hear anyone complaining bout that.


I didnt see X3 yet either.

well that did bother me at the start. considering wolverine was 5'2" (or around there) and like 300lbs (with admintium). but i have ot admit be hard to find someone like that.

Guess it makes sense, since IIRC it was some sort of mystical helmet that gave him his powers.
