Without its allies, could the UK defend itself against Germany? Yes they can!

You guys forget that Hitler invaded Russia cus of it's great resources in the first place. He was set to take their oilfields south of Stalingrad but Hitler being a retard split his forces and sent them to take Stalingrad. If he would have stayed with his original plan of just taking the oilfields south of Stalingrad, I'm sure it would have been a totally different outcome.

don't bother trying, american education quite forcefully taught them that the US singlehandedly won the war.

as far as i'm concerned the americans/british won the sea, americans won the skies, and the soviets won the land

I find this post funny because you bash the American educational system then go with some simpletons approach to how the war was won by giving wins to countries based on air\land\sea.

Yeah, the Soviets didnt control the skies over the Eastern front from 44-through the end of the war. Germany didnt almost end our bombing campaign by shooting down so many bombers we couldnt replenish them fast enough. And the Brits didnt need lend\lease to field a big enough navy to protect its ports and convoys that kept them alive.

It was a group effort. But I will say without American support it would had been rough going, even for the Soviets.

For the motherland!1!!!1!!1!111!

lol perfect place for you to pop up 😉

I like to think that even without help, the soviets would still have won.

Even if they got pushed back to the urals, and were armed with sticks, rocks, and icicles.

I'm Canadian and without US materiel support (if nothing else) the Allies could not have won. We didn't have the resources nor industrial capacity.

Russia had man power but no tanks or modern weapons to utilize.

They had a lot of tanks. Lots and lots and lots of tanks.

russia was propped up on a massive scale with us resources, something like 2/3rds of all the trucks in russia alone were us built. basically we gave them so much stuff that it gave them the freedom to build weapons. without it, they would not have done well at all. as for who white washes history, the soviets minimized all american help after the war, and even airbrushed russians out of history, so americans were nothing to them. it continues to this day, apologist history in russian schools.

as for the uk , they were doomed. defense is easier, home field advantage, short range fighters are cheaper and easier to make and you get your pilots back when they get shot down half the time. even then the best the uk could hope to do in ww2 was not lose right away as hitler got a bit distracted and saved them for later. squeeze off the trading lanes and colonies and basically the uk becomes defensless, the military degrades and you just wait until the country is soft enough to invade at will.

It ceratinly didn't teach us that. Sure, we were the dominant Allied force in the Pacific, but I've never heard from anyone other than idiots on the internet that we singlehandedly won the war. Of course there are also idiots on the internet who presume to tell Americans what we think and what we were taught.

These people obviously have serious, deep issues.
