Mind control all the way.

"You do think I deserve a 20% raise"
"You think $5000 is a good price for new M3"
"These are not the hookers youre looking for, officer"

The other things risk being to conspicuous, you can easily fly under the radar with the mind reading.

Immortality would have been my pick but

I chose invisibility - The question I have about this invisible power is will I only be invisibile if I am naked?

Shape shifting. I'm thinking now more Odo vs Mystique though. If I can't be Odo-like, then I'll choose teleportation.

If I can read minds, can I choose not to? Or is it something where I'm constantly bombarded by people's thoughts?

I voted for the lazy superpower, telekenesis. You could spend your entire day on the couch and clean the house simply by concentrating on its objects and using them appropriately. Of course, had there been a more economical superpower, say the ability to urinate a large quantity of gasoline upon demand, I would've chosen that. I'd just have to make sure that I don't run out of gas on teh side of the interstate. That is not a conversation I'd like to have with the highway patrol.

Instant heal all the way. Only thing I worry about now is getting f***ed for life by some random, retarded injury. Lot of personal gain, but hey, maybe I'll go play super hero with it too.

Mind reading. No need for mind control if I can tell what a person is thinking - persuasion becomes pretty easy then. It would also be useful for figuring out whether a girl is playing hard to get or just isn't interested.

Teleportation, by a mile.

Invisibility and healing would also be great - especially if the healing was wolverine-style.

Flying, because it's more *fun* than flat out teleporting. :)

Or if I could shapeshift into a bird the way Odo does, (Star Trek reference, for anyone who's lost,) then this.

Mind Reading, with a bit of work, I can get anything I want if I had that. You could get a 4.0 in most classes, you would always know what to say, you'd be the world's greatest diplomat or politican or leader of some sort... life would be so easy.

Everything else is just a nice add on, but it'll never help long term goals.
As for healing, :music:do you really want to live forever, forever and ever?:music:

Teleportation easily.

I'd love nothing more than the ability to do so one day with technology.

There would be no need for cars, no need for roads, no need for living in a city. It'd change the way humans live completely.

You could live out in the mountains or somewhere else that you personally find beautiful and then just teleport to work, teleport back to your home for lunch, to take a dump, etc.

There wouldn't be the need for all the hotels in the world either, or airports, trains, etc..

i'm surprised the pool results aren't more in favor of mind control. ATOT: "then i could finally get a chick to look at me!"

Lies. You want to fly? Teleport 32,000 feet up and fall.

Only if you ignore the laws of physics Hollywood-style, i.e. inertia, when you teleport back to solid ground!

I read a neat sci-fi story in which people became so reliant on their teleporters that they stopped going outside altogether. It's a tale about a family whose "Door" (capital D) breaks. They act like they're trapped and completely helpless, and are terrified that the repairman, who comes in the old fashioned way, might be covered in disease, and "god knows what else is out there." :)

Written by either Isaac Asimov or Arthur C Clarke... I forget.
