I had a rough experience with the one I've had out so far (starting with the bottom row and since you have so many saliva glands down there it is impossible to just numb one tooth or even a small area they go one at a time). I was under the impression that the most reputable oral surgeon around was going to do it (who did an awesome job for my sister when she had her's out). Turns out, it was his son, who only recently was passed the boards or whatever certification comes with the field. Anyways, he botched the injection (hit a nerve cluster) and my face ballooned beyond circus freak levels, then prescribed pain killers that I'm allergic to (even after I told him about my allergies the moment i sat in the chair and had it clearly all over my chart). He made up for it pretty well though by personally paying for medicine that I could take and went for a round of golf after it all cleared up. Seemed like a gentleman's malpractice settlement. Either way, if you're only numb and bloody you are pretty well off. Don't smoke or drink through a straw or anything similar, you totally don't want a dry socket. If you have more to go, the upper come out FAR easier.
