imagine you had to wipe (fill with random data) 40 2TB drives that were initially set up in RAID 5. This would take quite a while. The estimate the software we have shows approx 2000 hours...
I thought about trying to mirror 39 drives via RAID1, but it seems our hardware won't allow this at first glance.
