BTW, you do know that MS has a thing where you can trade in a normal XP pro cd key for a 64 bit cd key? So if you are looking for a good deal on xp 64, just get a normal xp pro and trade it in for free for a 64 bit xp.

Techjumble was created on 11/7/05. So it's been open a whole month.
But damn that's a nice looking site.

Don't think x64 is ready for primetime yet. Set up a few test machines around the office, and finding modem and printer drivers is a BEYOTCH!!!

If you upgrade from 32 bit to 64 bit through M$, you no longer have license to use the 32 bit version!

Keep in mind, I don't have any legacy hardware such as modems and the like. Oh, and this is basically a gaming rig -- I haven't run into any game incompatibilities either.

Can't you download x64 for free? Where was that at? Anyone pm me with the link? And also - All programs work fine on it right? Only problems being that you have to get x64 drivers which are already out for videocards and for nvidia chipsets anyways correct?
Kinda, some programs dont run on x64 windows, it just depends. Some have problems with it. Like one of the splinter cells couldn't install because of some incompatability with the default program files folder on x64 for 32 bit stuff was some weird name with () in it or some such.Originally posted by: topslop1
