Windows XP Home (upgrade)

"Upgrades" ARE full versions.

You can format your drive and boot this "upgrade" just like the full version. The only difference is this "upgrade" version will ask you to insert and previous copy of windows. Thats all. You insert the previous copy of windows, It spins the CD to verify its windows, and the installation continues.....

He means that in his opinion, win2k is a superior OS. At least that's what it seems.

Did a Quick search of the site, couldn't find any Rebate , or this could be usefull, still not a bad deal
Just got ad paper and no help there too. No answers to $50 rebate.:frown:
Did show the rebate in ad but no more.

Yep
Checked the ad and it's on page 8
Went to Ben's Bargains and it's already been posted there, ( that's how I found the info on the ad ), Guess, right now we are waiting for someone to stop at a BOGUS Buy and buy one, and supply more info.

Rebate is Best Buy offer #56486, PO Box 7200, Calais, ME 04619-7216

one per person/household/address. Requires a copy of the UPC.

Still don't see the rebate online.

Will this work with a W95 upgrade CD?
Someone on the chubbywallet thread (p. 8, I think) said that they used a Win 95 CD. Ask in the OS forum here at Anandtech, you'll probably get a better response there.
