windows update site is slow to crawl for everyone right?

It is slow because every one finally realize they have to pass updates on their machines or at least are trying to download the patch for the msblaster...

blaster is set to launch DOS on windowsupdates AFTER the 15th of august

So was Microsoft supposed to have released a patch for this already? I went to Windows Update this morning and didn't see anything new. ::shrug::

Yep, it's very slow. Not only the DDoS attacks (does it start today? I thought after the 16th of the month?) but it could be a lot of people updating. I remember when service packs were released, MS servers would be hammered as well.

instead of going to windows update site, try going to the page with the bullitin about the patch, it should load faster.

In a way, isn't this rush to download the patch an attack on the MS webservers?

Last I heard update did not cover this. You had to go to a place on the technet at microsofts site to download the fix seperately. Found this on Slashdot.

I just formated from xp back to 2k and i went to Windows update and the IE window just frooze up like its taking the data but very slowwwww. ya the worm just made its way onto the news channel and they will be talking about it @ 9pm so i think people are going to kill ms server BOOOMMM!
