The nicknames are useful, so are shared folders, and offline messaging. Those are the 3 most noticeable improvements to me beside the UI.

If you get into the beta, then you can sign up for Windows Live Mail Beta with a cleaner interface and other stuff.

Seems you can now download this thing off msn.com.

I just installed it. I don't like the colors of the icons.
The ad window is bigger and so is the search field. (just what I hate, screen clutter).
The install file was 15mb. This thing must be huge.

I will probably go back to 6.2 or was it 6.5 unless I find anything compelling about it.

There are still a lot of bugs such as peoples display names changing back to old ones, and not being able to go down a line after typing a url. Also feels a bit slow in some areas...
