Hey guys,
I ordered a bunch of parts to build myself a new computer and I'm uncertain as to which OS to use on it. Everything will be brand new, including the HDD.
Currently I have only a Win XP 32-bit disc; and then a download of Win 7 RC1. (32 bit). I can easily download the 64 bit version too.
My question is, would it be foolish to use RC1 on a new build? How would it handle all the drivers that need installing? Is it generally a smooth process, similar to using XP for the initial OS install? I suppose I could always try it; and if it won't work right I can default back to my XP disc.
Any thoughts on 64 bit vs. 32 bit? Primary use will be gaming.
The new build will have an i7 920, ASUS P6T mobo, 6GB DDR1600 and 2x 4890 GPU's, if it helps.
Anyway I'm just looking for some experience or ideas on this. Any help is appreciated!
