Win10 on my "aging" Phenom II X6, 16GB DDR3 RAM, 250GB 850 EVO is the fastest OS I have yet run (and I started with Windows 2.0, bundled with my MS Mouse in 1988). My computer now starts so quickly, the startup sound I have set never gets the chance to play. Getting rid of Balmer and Sinofsky and their Win8 fiasco was the smartest this Microsoft has done yet to move forward; Win10, whether on the desktop or on a Surface Pro 4 is, for me, what personal computing should be-fast.

Seems to be an upsurge of WIN 10 slamming in general atm from a few people.

If you don't like it do not install it.

Sounds like Vista was years ago.

Well there were early problems with Vista and yeah not all of them were because of MS but most of the glaring ones were fixed in SP1 (which I always waited for before)

I stuck with Win7 after 8 came out because I thought the UI was pretty lame and the new features weren't compelling enough.

I started using Win 10 finally and I like it. There are a few things that I miss from Windows 7 that I miss in Win 10, but I haven't installed classicshell on it yet and I would have done that immediately on Windows 8.

I like it so far.
