Window seat or Aisle seat?

Sluggo

Lifer
ON an airplane, which seat rules? Aisle or window? We all know the middle sucks the worst.

It just hate being on the aisle, given the chance, I will always take the window seat, even on a night flight.

Aisle = better if you need to stretch your legs a lot (walk around) or have a weak bladder

Window - the better seat overall (you have a wall to lean your head on) but getting up is a bitch

Aisle sucks because everyone climbs over you to get out.
Window sucks because you have to climb over everyone to get out.

Go by boat.

Yeah, but if the plane crashes ... you're goin down with the ship, Captain style

Well, not really, but you have to help everyone else off before you can get out.

I think that is the smallest problem at that time. I'm 6"3' so I need space.

window. i figure if i'm going to crash in a plane, i'd rather have a visual to take with me into the next life.😛

😀

Nice. 😎

Window seat for me. I was on a 4 hour flight from here to Vegas last Labor Day weekend and didn't get up the whole time. You get a nice view + don't have to worry about falling asleep and your head ending up on someone else's shoulder 😛

Just booked mine today. Window on there, and return flight. Plus I get executive on the way back, sweet. 🙂

I want a wall. I don't care about the window itself, but I do want something to put my head on and sleep. Thus just a wall would suffice (I really like it when the seats have been respaced and you get one with a window offset). There is no drawback - just get up if you want and shove the aisle people away.

Aisle seats are much less comfortable - people brushing you all the time as they walk, people next to you crawling over you every 30 minutes, etc.

After flying 500k miles in the last 4 years I have come up to this rule.

Aisle seats during day flights: allows me to go the restroom and I don't feel confined as much when there is someone sitting in the middle

Window seats during red eyes so when people go to the restroom you aren't bothered when you are sleeping.

After tens of thousands of flying miles, I can emphatically state that Window is definitely better (for me).

- You can put your head against something
- You can prop your leg up
- You don't have to get up every time someone wants to go to the bathroom
- You don't have people with fat asses bumping into you constantly as they walk down the aisle
- You get to look out the window

Aisle for me...most of my flying is 4hrs or less...so can't really get much sleep in anyways
Usually happens that I need to pee when I get the window seat..when I get the aisle, I never have to pee...dunno why that is, but it always seems to happen.
