One of them which is under an XP-90/Panaflo & AS5 craps out at 2.5 stable at 2.475 with 1.6V

The other is:

I am going to get it up and running here shortly and will post the results.. be sure to include which h/s you are using and load temps. Thanks everyone!

They all have the same stepping. It is the week number that is a somewhat good indicator. It is the second part of the second line. 0447 would be 2004 week 47.

well forget that then. I'm not going thru all the hassle to open my case, unplug all the wires, take out the mobo, take off the heatsink, wipe off the grease and then reapply if applicable. my A64 3000+ winnie is alrdy oc'd to a nice 2.51 Ghz using 278x9 , 3 HTT, 3-4-4-8 1T 1. 32C Idle. I'll just pass on the steppings detail. Is that okay?

CBBFD 0441RPBW <---- R > S > W etc, R's are thought to be the best, then S, etc (week can indicate too)
1122585J40093 <---- Rumored the closer to 0001, the better the processor

My first AMD system which I am setting up for a good friend who is retiring his old P3-800. :)

A64 3000+ (1.8Ghz)
ADA3000DIK4BI
CBBHD 0447RPMW
1153499L40246

So far at 2.4Ghz on stock vcore (1.4) and stock hsf, which is very good imho, especially the thermal compound on it. It looks like AS5. :)

Temps are 40-41C full load using Prime95 test 2 (max heat, FPP processing), and ambient temps are 20-22C and this is in an Antec Sonata case with 1x120mm exhaust on the 5v fan-only molex header.

Very happy with my first AMD cpu so far.

You can see the stepping in Windows. I am at work right now using my Intel based P4 laptop but my personal machine at home is an A64 3200+ Winchester. In Win XP if you go to your Start menu, then go Accessories -> System Tools -> System Information, the information is in the System Summary listed next to Processor. Here's what it says for this Intel machine:

x86 Family 15 Model 2 Stepping 4 GenuineIntel ~1798 Mhz

I'll check mine on my AMD machine when I get home from work tonight and see if it's there as well for an AMD processor.

Mine is on the not as successful side, so it should be helpful from that perspective.

OC to 2400Mhz, from 2000 (3200+ winchester). From Monarch.

Stepping as reported in OS and CPU-Z is 0, rev. DH8-D0.

I've got a 3200+ Winchester 0451CPBW:

Highest stable is 2200 at 1.45V on stock retail HSF.

Lame lame lame...

From what I've read, all the week 51 ones really suck.
