Winamp Question

Lifer
I'm on 2.91 or whatever and everytime I open it, it asks me to upgrade to the higher version.

I don't want to...
How do I disable this message without upgrading ?

there may be a easier way, but if you have a firewall you could deny it access to the internet (i don't have winamp 2.9)

Preferences (CTRL-P) > Setup > Uncheck "Check for new versions of Winamp at startup", at the bottom

the developer was one of the key desingers from the winamp 2.x team i beileve... anyway, fb2k is hailed as the best mp3 player at the moment, defeinitely worth a look. in case minimalist interface doesnt appeal to you much, keep in mind once you download columns_UI you can make it look pretty slick too 🙂
