Winamp 5.02!

So

Lifer
I just installed Winamp 5.02 (up from 5.01) and....wow...they redid the jump dialogue to let you create a queue of the songs you want next, and after the queue runs out, it's back to normal play.

Woo! It's what I've always wanted in Winamp

🙂:wine:

Vive Winamp!

May the iTunes infidels die a thousand deaths. 😛

excellent! new jump queue works very well.

i always wanted something like this--can put my whole playlist on random, but set 10 or so tracks to play first (and not have to leave my game to turn shuffle on)

yep, i finally made the jump from 2.x to 5.02. so far, im happy. the jump queue feature is neat and works well, and im liking these global hotkeys also (used a 3rd party plug-in for 2.x). so far, not too shabby. load up speeds and response times seem to be well also. this one looks to be a keeper.

Anyone else having a problem getting the Internet Radio streams to show up in the media list?

I can get TV listings just fine, but no Radio 🙁

edit: works now, just had to close and open the program again 😕

Mem usage is approximately 2 or 3 megs more for me than 2.x used - ie. 19 megs instead of 16 after a few minutes of use. CPU is a constant 0. This is using the classic skin.

It's definitely far more snappy than the bloat that was Winamp 3, if that's what you mean 😛

I find that W5 actually switches track noticably faster than W2. So in response to your question, no, it's not a resource whore.
