Win2K with SP3 or stick with WinXP Pro?????

I am a college student and have access to super cheap MS software and I am currently running WinXP Pro. I have not really had a ton of probs with it so I have no real complaints. I am wondering however if you guys think it is smarter to go back to Win2k with the new Service pack 3. I remember Win2k being quite a bit faster on my system (P3 800 - 256MB - Radeon 8500 - 60GB Mator ATA100) So stick with Xp or move back to Win2k?????

Dude, XP freakin' rocks! I used W2K ever since it came out and it is great, but I like XP much better. Shoot, the driver roll back feature is worth it in itself. 😉

I'm using Windows XP Pro now (upgraded from Win2k Pro), and must admit that (although I didn't think I'd like it at first) IMHO it's a pretty decent system. It allows me to use my digicam and scanner w/o third party software (although some manufacturers provide decent camera and scanning utilities, Kodak and HP are not among their members).

I personally went back to win2k after trying out XP... didnt like some of the stuff XP does, and is more of a resource hog...

I say if you already have win2k and wont cost u a thing to switch back, go ahead... otherwise stick with XP...
