I am a college student and have access to super cheap MS software and I am currently running WinXP Pro. I have not really had a ton of probs with it so I have no real complaints. I am wondering however if you guys think it is smarter to go back to Win2k with the new Service pack 3. I remember Win2k being quite a bit faster on my system (P3 800 - 256MB - Radeon 8500 - 60GB Mator ATA100) So stick with Xp or move back to Win2k?????

Do you have any problems right now? if no, stay. if yes, switch. dont fix what isn't broken.

Dude, XP freakin' rocks! I used W2K ever since it came out and it is great, but I like XP much better. Shoot, the driver roll back feature is worth it in itself. ;)

I'm using Windows XP Pro now (upgraded from Win2k Pro), and must admit that (although I didn't think I'd like it at first) IMHO it's a pretty decent system. It allows me to use my digicam and scanner w/o third party software (although some manufacturers provide decent camera and scanning utilities, Kodak and HP are not among their members).

I personally went back to win2k after trying out XP... didnt like some of the stuff XP does, and is more of a resource hog...

I say if you already have win2k and wont cost u a thing to switch back, go ahead... otherwise stick with XP...
