One things you have to consider about 'common sense' is that this is an international site. I learned years ago that I should not assume when posting here. Some people get upset when 'common sense' things are pointed out; some appreciate the information.

The question is valid: where/how did you get the ISO?

Well its the matter of common sense again, cause if I got the ISO from MS's website I would mention, and that leaves only one other door open! 😉

Torrents are not a good way to get an OS. Especially since you can get a bootable Windows 10 for free from MS. It won't activate without a license, but it can still be downloaded.

I think your statement may have just ended assistance in this thread.

Nah, I downloaded it from Torrent ( common sense worked then huh? ) doesn't mean anything. Of course I have an official license from MS, cause I was a user of Windows 7, I mean a legal user, but guess what I bought it way back in, well...., I don't even remember and it was the x86 one, and then I upgraded to x64, and I didn't want to buy again, so I was using that one from Torrent too!

The reason I opted for the torrent route was because I didn't want the Pro version, and I couldn't have the Enterprise edition in any official way. And as far as I know that Telemetry thing could only be disabled in Enterprise version right?

Now if someone assumes that I would purchase Windows 10 Enterprise Edition, then I will rather commit a painful suicide.

If this brings the assistance to an end, be it!

Well now the truth sets us free as to what the problem was all along. The OP is using an unofficial iso and can't figure out what the issue might be and now has rung all of our clue phones with the truth.

That is one of those most hilarious statements you will ever read on internet. Thanks. Unofficial ISO D:

If any mods is reading this topic, kindly close the topic. Nah, I will need to post something later, to prove something, disregard that statement.

If you find the truth hilarious, then so be it.

If you have ever gone through the update process from Windows 7 to Windows 10, then your computer will accept the official Windows 10 installation media. It already has your hardware footprint. There is absolutely no reason to go through a torrent at this point in time.

Yeah, if that were the truth, LOL!

I don't understand the last part! I got the official Pro version, I wanted to install the Enterprise version! How was I supposed to get the latter officially?

The Enterprise is for just that, an "Enterprise." It is made for volume licensing, not for individuals to purchase for personal use.

You can disable telemetry in the Pro version, if that's what you are concerned about. Home is the only version that needs a registry tweak.

Yes, that's what I am concerned about. I'm quite sure that I've read here somewhere that only Enterprise could disable telemetry!

Okay, I'll install the official Pro version and see what happens.

Okay, thanks. In the meantime, what's the fastest way to download Pro's ISO? I mean do I really need to install Seven and then wait for the update to pop up, or is there a short-cut way? And I will do a clean installation no matter what MS says.

Does "Telementary" over ride our Win OS's, 7 or 8 OS's, through MS Windows Update "In particular forced MS Updates": EG: KB2952664, KB3021917 and KB3035583 to UpGrade to WinX ?

I do not want to loose my in-amity when playing with WinX. From what I see WinX is a Cancerous Score that feeds on your Personal Life.

Yes. If you have Linux, you've already won the battle though.

Okay, so I have the ISO. Now how do I install it? Do I need to install my licensed Windows 7 and then install this or can I install from current pirated 10 Enterprise?

I'll do a clean installation (by formatting C), so I don't see how any of this should matter anyway!

If you have run Windows 10 on your computer, and it registered (aka you did the upgrade routine from 7) you should be able to do a clean install.

But you are correct, you should be able to run it from within 7 or boot off your flash drive.

If you have not yet gone through the upgrade from 7 to 10, and/or it did not activate as 10, you will need to put 7 back on and go through the upgrade.

Maybe, but I've never seen that cause a corrupted file system. Other issues, but not that.

A few things:

1. I don't know how you could say that unless you have run the exact same copy of 10 he "acquired" and did not see these issues.

2. I don't know how much time the OP spent with the installs, but I have never seen a memory error do this without causing the OS to crash at some point.

3. A memory error would require the same files going through the same area of memory each time, and again, not causing any other system problems after the fact. That is not very likely IMO.

You've never seen what Microsoft would do to a bootleg/modified/illegitimate install of Win10 either. This may be the expected behavior that Microsoft forces upon a modified install to "protect" the user from a pirated or hacked version in order to disable it from doing bad things (like, say, collecting personal user data and sending to some far away land for them to use your credit cards on vodka and cigarettes).

Anyway, it's probably moot at this point, but per MSDN:

File Name: en_windows_10_enterprise_x64_dvd_6851151.iso
Languages: English
SHA1: 30AD1CDF5D0670F12788005131E24862F6AB8AAB

If the hash don't match, it's not legit. (There's a few other legit versions, but that's really the only enterprise version that matters)
