Spoiler:

Sakai lost to Flay. Definitely not what I expected.

Sakai was robbed. How did Flay even come close in originality and plating?

Eh. He must've paid off the tasters.

I thought it was hilarious when the showed the internet poll. Sakai got almost 2/3 of the votes.

I'm convinced that Food network is one of those funky channels I'll never watch unless I get some sort of Tivo.

WTF, Flay sucks sooo much, but Sakai still lost, I guess that's what you get when you don't deversify your judges. Not fair to have just American or Japenese judges, they need to be from a totaly different nationality then the chef, only then will it be fair. Iron Chef America sucks btw, no suspense and crazy stuff like the Japanese one, and the floor runner that tells you about the dishes is a complete idiot, he didn't know what a turnip was or what fois gra was....man I could have done a better job at naming ingredients from just watching the food channel the past two years...

There is no way that arrogant prick Bobby G(a)y lost to Sakai, he insults Sakai's mad honor. What a fixed show.

Agreed... how the hell did Bobby beat Sakai in plating and originality. Since when is dumping grits and some fried trout on a skillet good plating. Sheesh!

My mom watches Food TV (that is all she watches). Anyway, I want to see the one with Bobby Flay. Saw a commercial for it a few days ago.

No one likes Bobby Flay, abosolutely no one.

if you've watched the first one filmed back in 00 (or 01?) of flay in NY, you would know he was ripped off big time. he won the rematch in Japan, but it wasn't the clear win he "deserved" to win in NY.

I'm not talking about modesty, honor, and all that... I'm talking about the food, presentation, and preparation. he was ripped in NY, plain and simple.

It's not the same without Chairman Kaga. That guy is the bomb-diggity.

The preview show did a nice job of describing what goes on and some background on the cape-wearing freak.

Yes, but his food is Soooooo Good! Make sure to stop by Mesa Grill or Bolo the next time you're in the NYC area, and you'll understand.

"Sakai was robbed. How did Flay even come close in originality and plating? "

Flay was definately more original, his ingedients and plating, like the skillets, actually would affect flavors, not just look pretty.

and i don't think the trout ice cream went over too well..
;)
