oh and you find it morally wrong that a movie was made about this, but you dont find it morally wrong to shoot them? 😕

This movie actually pisses me off. You cant go around putting words into peoples mouths and then put it on a big screen and show it as truths. I forget what movie it was but I know some director took artisitc liscense once and put some words into somoeones mouth. Too bad the family was still alive and sued them for making him say something none of them believe he would. Now I heard that all of the families were contacted for this movie and they all signed a paper saying it was ok. But still..it just seems wrong to me.

Go see it if you want to see a movie that speculates about what happend on the plane...dont go if you want to know the truth. The sad thing is that tons of people are going to go see it...and tons of people that wont stop and think about what they are seeing are going to take it as true.

No, too disturbing first and foremost. I have a lot of respect for the people on that plane, I don't think making money off them is justifiable.

No way. Maybe if the proceds from the movie were donated to viticms of 9/11 then yes.

10% of the proceeds from the first three days of the film are being donated, fyi.

As has been stated before, I hope you feel the same about every film based on a historical event, otherwise, that is extremely hypocritical.

I believe a percentage of the opening IS going to 9/11 victims.

With all the rah-rah go-war country songs, made in china magnetic ribons, and Halliburton profiteering I can't believe people decide to get all "offended" now. TFF.

I think I'm going to watch Saving Private Ryan and Tora Tora Tora when I get home. Oh no, I'm going to be helping someone profit on a tragedy!!!!!!!!11111111!!1!

Hell no. Just a fictional depiction of what they want us to believe might have happened. Due to the very little factual information available to us/them, there's NO WAY to really know how this tragedy played out...might as well go see Harry Potter if you want some fiction....probably more truth in that...
PASS...

this is the reason i dont want to see this movie

Me too. Undoubtedly it will be a feel-good display of heroism by the passengers. At least that's what I'm afraid it will be. Guess I'll wait for the reviews.

No way, they are trying to cash in on a tragic event. If anything we should all get together and kill the people who funded and created the movie.

Just like Schindler's List was cashing in on the Holocaust? Judging from your post count, you're most likely a troll.

How can everyone say they are trying to cash in on a tragic event? It seems that the prevailing theme almost nationwide is that no one wants to go see the movie because it's too soon. It's a mite bit difficult to cash in on something with a small audience. I'm planning on going to see it, because I really don't see a moral quandry with the issue. The only thing that matters to me is if it's a good movie.

The "too soon" argument doesn't fly with me. I just don't see how it matters.

Yes I will probably go and see it. I will treat it as a documentary in my mind, and as with everything else in life I will take it with a grain of salt and not as the gospel.
I do not fault the film makers for making this film, I think they also see it as a story that should be told over and over again. It is something we should never forget. This country has a habit of forgetting. This is paramount to the bombing of Pearl Harbor. It shouldn't be forgotten or forgiven, EVER...................................

Have you ever purchased an American flag?
