There is a huge difference between buying food past it's expiration/sell date and buying expired food. For example, buying milk and dairy products a day or so after the date stamped on the container is perfectly fine as most dairy products are good a week past their sell by date. Buying frozen foods that have remained frozen a month past their sell by date is not OK. The frozen food will not harm you but will not have much nutritional value either.

I have to disagree with the dairy comment, it's one of the only product that I find that expire correctly to the expiration date and sometimes 1 or 2 days earlier. Also, I am not an expert on frozen food storage, but it seems frozen food with expired sell by date will last much better (even nutrition) than any other food.
I agree.Originally posted by: Epic Fail

One product I think it's funny to have a sell by date is soda, they will last longer than humanity.
