A thought. If the Russians are going to hack us perhaps it would be in the best interest of the respective parties to act ethically. But as you say it will work because we've seen how things work and it won't change, but we will be banging a shoe on a table.
He's a tough guy, he's not going to stand for being pissed on by these Russian hackers... oh wait.

Because he is going to be POTUS, he has no conflict of interest

and he says it like it is a 'get out of jail free' card.

oh man...

We need to see his tax returns. period. Start there.

But "nobody cares about my tax returns...Only the media...Because I won. The public doesn't care!!!"

Yes. He said that. Pretty much verbatim.

So the narrative the right is going with now is a combination of their usually "LALALALA CAN'T HEAR YOU" with a smattering of "FAKE NEWS! FAKE NEWS! IT'S FAKE NEWS!"?

it's a 35 page intelligence report, not some cobbled-together 3 paragraph article on sputnik news. Fanatical Moron and other former bernie bros/ concern trolls here just making themselves look even more stupid. You're pathetic, you know that? Lol. 4chan huh?

What a joke. 4 chan couldn't hack or influence its way out of a wet paper bag... a joke of a community if there ever was one.
I am vehemently anti-Trump and I really don't know anything about this story. I saw someone laugh at the notion that 4chan has any influence, and I pointed out that they are wrong. Anonymous was born from 4chan and has demonstrated influence and great resources (derived from participants).

"LALALALA CAN'T HEAR YOU" is exactly what you sound like.

I gather that there was some leaked/unverified report that had something to do with urination and running amok in Russia?

That really has nothing to do with my point which was that hacking will continue until prevented or there stops being a benefit. In this case it was correctly stated that the attempts most likely won't stop, so instead of being preachy bitches become people worthy of respect and act ethically. Yell at Trump or the Russians but it's not just them.

Regardless of how someone acts those sort of hacks can invariably cause a lot of damage by taking things out of context, etc. Climategate for example, pizzagate, all that crap. While people should be smart about what they say over email it's also important to raise the price for countries who are trying to hack us.

God, listening to Trump right now, what a difference between Obama last night and listening to this thin skinned lying hypocrite.
The CIA and other intelligence agencies will not allow this man to destroy our democracy and way of life. They will not allow him destroy decades of international cooperation and strategies that have maintained relative calm since WW2.

Donald Trump is a threat to every man, woman and child. Not only in America, but globally.

You didn't "prove" anything. You provided a brief history of 4chan. I have been following those claims too. They haven't provided anything that shows that this originated there. Just claims with nothing specific. Meanwhile you have every news outlet that is stating the information is coming directly from intelligence sources. They are stating that they have verified that the information comes from them. They haven't said what was in the report because they can't verify the report itself is accurate. Only where they got it from.

You can blame the "dishonest media" all you like. While I personally find the information inside the dossier suspect I don't doubt they got it from legitimate sources, not some random email from 4chan.

While I agree with your assessment of Trump, the CIA and other agencies (yes FBI, I'm looking at you) must obey the laws as written. Undermining a President, no matter how bad, is not within their lawful duties. We see what happens when intelligence services play politics and it isn't pretty.

That only really applies if you assume the take from any hacking is entirely "dirt". What if it is legit info like strategy, etc.?

Hacking shouldn't happen. That said there was no doubt strategic information taken but that would not have any real effect. It really didn't make the Dem machine look very good and that's far more effective.

I'm not terribly familiar with 4Chan, but I know it's a huge and anonymous. I know it's made up of incompetent teens and very competent people too. Seems you don't have a very good idea if you think you can summarize the competence of 4Chan. Saying they "can't hack their way out of a paper bag" is pretty broad. It's like saying no anonymous group can include skilled or talented hackers...and that's silly.

I'll read about these stories and such when I get off work. Part of me wants it to be true and wants it to take Trump down, but even the "grab her pussy" comment didn't do that -- so I can't muster very much optimism.

It would be best if people were really ethical. It would be smarter if they did what the do and kept it a better secret. Action should be taken in some form.

What price do you exact for Russia hacking the DNC, the Chinese for their purposes, etc? Then what price will we pay in return?

Do "something" but very carefully and measured.

Ok...so what is the plan for replacement for Obamacare? Same day. Same week. Maybe the same hour they repeal Obamacare they will replace it. WITH WHAT? A plan. I get that. But I need more info than that.
They have to pass it before they can see what's in it.

For the record, Mr. President Elect, *I* still care about your tax returns.

Why would he show his tax returns? It's not required by law and they're his tax returns. Basically he's telling you and others that want his tax returns to go fsk themselves and i'm happy with that answer.

So in other words you don't care to know if Trump is taking actions because he thinks they are in the best interest of the country or if he's taking them because they are in his own personal financial interests? Amazing. You've just handed him a blank check for functionally unlimited corruption.

Glad to know you never actually cared about corruption to begin with, so thanks for clearing that up.
