No condescension was intended, as that was your overly-sensitive reaction to my comment.

I yield to your expertness on all things "gaming". What do I know, as my son and I are still playing the golf simulation 'Links2003', TA, Rybka3 chess, COD-MW and -WaW, and that addictive flash game 'Desktop Tower Defender'.

Because more people play checkers than chess does not make it a better game. I understand that SC has more custom content than TA. Have you ever played the 'TAUP' mod of TA? Fantastic. The whole TA game is available free online now, but I don't have the link. Can StarCraft be purchased now? I'll take a look again.

SC is a great game. Because of 'the luck of the draw', I happened to pick up TA and not SC I guess.

Oh, BTW, what do you guys think of Supreme Commander?

Starcraft is still one of the top selling games I think.

Supreme Commander was really good though, and the way it handled zooming in and out was genius. It was perhaps a bit too realistic though, in that most of combat involved just traveling from one place to another, and then battles are over in seconds. Too many explosions!

Act of War and World in Conflict were great.
Ever since Age of Mythology came out I have stopped playing Starcraft. It may not be superior in all ways but its been a lot better time-waster for me.

No, when I re-read my original comment to Maximillian, I was 'over-the-top'....but I did put a 'smiley' after it!! Being out-of-work now(laid off), I get that 'passive-aggressive' thing going once in a while....

BUT, then I go kill people in COD-WaW, and I feel so much better! :)

Homeworld was by far the best RTS I've ever played. C&C was good up to Red Alert 2. I wasn't too fond of Starcraft.
