People will believe OBL is dead but the Obama connection is suspect. Right now a supposedly "spontaneous celebration" is taking place outside White House. Not one of the people looks over 21. We will find out this is Obama turf before the week is out.

Overall - the OBL death is nice but meh. Its like catching a Nazi docotr 10 years after WW II. Al Qaeda is run by American converts now. Getting OBL is like whacking a 85 old Mafiosi 10 years after Russian and Columbian mafia took over.

Its also suspect that as Obama crashes in poills he comes up with a birth certificate (which he could have done 3 years ago) and an OBL announcement (complete with Obama turf outside WH days apart - and with a Petraeus move to CIA).

Guess Donald Trump is already claiming credit for the kill. Says his forces looking for Obama's birth cert came across Bin Laden hiding. Contacted Donald, and Donald flew in and did the hit job. Details on Fox news later today. Donald has his plane ticket for proof.

I'll bet you anything, NONE of the hosts or reporters on Fox will claim this is a hoax. Hannity will do a segment that Obama does not deserve any credit for this, that it all belongs to Bush.

Word is it was carried out by SEALs, who were probably deployed off an aircraft carrier in the gulf. Which is where they went back. I also imagine they wouldn't bury him on land out of fear of creating an extremist shrine.

In any case if Osama is still alive, I imagine he'll release a tape going "hahahaha stupid Americans" in the next few days. His silence will be proof enough for me. No way he would let this rumor stick around if he was alive.

WASHINGTON – A U.S. official says Osama bin Laden has been buried at sea.

After bin Laden was killed in a raid by U.S. forces in Pakistan, senior administration officials said the body would be handled according to Islamic practice and tradition. That practice calls for the body to be buried within 24 hours, the official said. Finding a country willing to accept the remains of the world's most wanted terrorist would have been difficult, the official said. So the U.S. decided to bury him at sea.

The official, who spoke Monday on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive national security matters, did not immediately say where that occurred.

As I said in the other thread I suspect one reason not to bury him on land is to avoid giving him a shrine. I like the idea of him getting chucked into the cold sea thousands of miles away from Mecca.
