You can get the multi-core clockspeed up to the same level. But, it will lack the smart boost stuff. On my 2600X, on lightly threaded things it will boost a single core to 4.3 to 4.4. Or an all core boost of 4.2 on all cores. You can likely get a 2600 to 4.2 all cores though. So I guess it comes down to what it's worth to you to get that .1 or .2 Ghz boost in single core things. Another advantage of the 2600X is you just install it and turn it on. No fiddling around trying to overclock.Would overclocking a Ryzen 2600 paired with a decent budget cooler like the Hyper 212 Evo give me the same single thread performance as a non-overclocked 2600x?
