I bought an e-bay item and hit the wrong button on Paypal, hitting "Pay" before changing my primary funding source to a credit card from my old bank account (which is empty).
Realizing the error and deducing that there was no way to change it in Paypal, I ran to the branch across the street and deposited cash to the teller. My available balance on the bank's website now reads my deposit amount, and the teller transaction appears, but the Paypal request hasn't been posted yet.
How long until Paypal makes the transfer request? Is it a good sign that the available balance/deposit was posted before any transfer request, or does it not really matter?
I've found horror stories online of Paypal trying to push multiple transactions through, racking up NSF fees, so I'm freaking out a bit. Thanks for any experiences people may have. If I get unlucky, at least I have the "I saw an available balance when I tried to transfer, why was it rejected" claim?
