Cripes OP, do you want Will out on the streets?

He's got to pay off his foul-mouthed landlady somehow.

he reminds me of Steve Martin. sure, his movies make money... but they just aren't that funny.

He can do these movies in his sleep and they make bank. I'm not seeing the problem.

Does his making bank entertain you?

"Yeah that movie sucked, but boy did he make a lot of money".

"I was entertained by the thought of all the money he was making, in fact, the money he made on that movie actually made it worth watching, despite how much it sucked".

agreed. anchorman and prior = good
latter movies = all lame

Blades of Glory was vastly better than Anchorman IMO. I agree Talladega Nights was lame.

Yes, he should fire his agent who finds him $20 million movie contracts.

Oh, so sorry LIFER, I guess perhaps some prefer movies that are actually good and worth the ticket price... never mind how much bank he is making off of the rednecks and their doorknob mentality..

You're quite the tool.

Not every movie has to be an Oscar contender. When I go see a typical Will Ferrell movie, I know what I'm getting; about 2 hours of pretty good absurdest comedy. That being said, I also love his role in Stranger Than Fiction.

I liked Blades of Glory. The skating chase scene was epic.

You do realize that he probably gets a script and tears out 25% of it in favor of ad-libbing scenes, right?

If making those movies wasn't profitable (by means of large viewership) then I don't think he or the production companies would be doing it.

Why should he fire his agent? He's making money.

That being said, I don't think I've ever seen even one of his movies. I also don't think he's funny.

Will Ferrell is funny, but just like any genre of comedy, not everyone is going to like it. A lot of people don't like British comedy, etc...

He has an audience, and he gets paid well for entertaining them.

Anchorman = fantastic
Talladega Nights = fantastic (and I don't like Nascar)
Blades of Glory = not as good as the first two, but still great
New movie = looks funny so far

I'm not a redneck. Immature, stupid? Maybe. Redneck, no.

And you're getting into that stupid whiney mentality people always have about their entertainers - "screw money, they should do things that I enjoy! How could they sell out like that???" It's his JOB! Of course he's going to keep doing these movies if they keep making him money. Geez.
