He can do these movies in his sleep and they make bank. I'm not seeing the problem.

Yes, he should fire his agent who finds him $20 million movie contracts.

Oh, so sorry LIFER, I guess perhaps some prefer movies that are actually good and worth the ticket price... never mind how much bank he is making off of the rednecks and their doorknob mentality..

If Will didn't want to do these movies, he wouldn't be doing them. It's not like he's hurting for money.

I dont think Will Ferrel wants to change the world with his movies. He's a funny guy who fvcks around a lot. He makes lots of cash, who gives afvck who goes to his movies? Don't like it, don't go.

Then don't go watch his movies and go see movies with something that appeals to more than people who like doorknobs, moron. What a retarded post.

Chunkee, maybe we should review what an agent is hired to do.

Their job is to direct business to their client. The more business for their client, the more commission they earn.

In that respect, Ferrell has one of the best agents in the industry.

If you don't find his movies funny, don't watch them. Plenty of other people do.

those movies aren't bad.

he probably enjoys making them anyways.

and he's not getting typecast - he's already shown how good he can be via Stranger than Fiction

Will Ferrell in a revival of Death of a Salesman? I think not. He has risen to the level of his "talent". Let him leave acting to real actors and keep cashing the checks as long as he can still find work.

Taladega Nights was amusing, but far too many of the jokes in that movie would typically only be perceived by racing fans. I loved it :D

He's played the same role in everything movie he's ever played. What's the problem here?

Actually, Anchorman sucked balls. I saw Talladega Nights and it was pretty bad too (friend gave me a CD).

Never bothered to see the other two you mentioned...nor would I pay money to see any of his movies (although, technically I did with Anchorman since I saw it on HBO).

Good lord... those are the roles that are perfect for him. If you don't like those movies than you just don't like will ferrell. It's not a problem as we all like different things, but to expect the man to change the way he acts and the characters he plays just because you don't like it is selfish and annoying.

He knows his limits and stays in his comfort zone. He knows he's not going to be an Norton or Bale so he doesn't try to be. Obviously he's not a struggling actor so he takes the roles he wants or produces them himself. He already extended his range with Stranger Than Fiction, which he did fine in. I dont think he's looking for oscars
