I want another Integra. Cheap (for a sports car), light, zippy, and above all, very practical.

Well, to be honest, I think discontinuing Integra/RSX was the best choice by Acura. Acura is supposed to be upscale brand, and RSX simply not fits there.

And also, you already have a choice --- Honda Civic Si.

The Honda Civic Si is underpowered and under-engineered. 160HP in a heavy car with no independent rear suspension just won't cut it in this day and age - especially considering that it's only about $2,000 cheaper than an Impreza WRX or Mazdaspeed3, both of which have independent suspensions and a lot more power. The old Civic Type R (the 200HP version the rest of the world got) was much better.

SI is not 160hp its 197

If the current SI still had 160hp I am sure they would not have removed the RSX.

The new one is butt ugly. It really is. I'll stick with the '08 TL S for a while.

The past few RL models seemed somewhat lost in Acrua/Honda's lineup. It's a plush ride, but it has a muddy feel compared to the TL. From a price standpoint, the lux is there but the performance is missing.
The TSX is gaining some weight and getting more family oriented. The Integra should have stayed on instead of an RSX.

But the RSX was the new Integra the world over.. it was only a name change in North America

Umm.. wrong?

1) Si has 197HP, 13 HP lower than last gen RSX Type-S but at slightly lower RPM.
2) Si is 2,886 lb, last gen RSX is 2,790 lb. I am not sure that 96 lb difference should be considered that big, that makes one a heavy car, while another is not.
3) Si has Four-wheel independent suspension with MacPherson on front & double wishbone on rear, which is EXACTLY SAME COMBINATION as RSX Type-S.

If you want to hate something, I'd suggest you to have a good reason to hate.

^^ Yeah, the Civic Si is very not bad.

What I want from Honda/Acura is a reborn Prelude. 2 Door Coupe, larger than compact size, ~220hp or more, with great styling, handling, and reliability. Accord is too large, RSX is gone, Civic Si too small/generic.

<------Loves teh Prelude

But what would really spice up a new prelude, would be an S2000 RWD platform yum yum

Funny to see Cheesehead humbled in yet another car thread.

I have always liked Honda/Acura cars, but I find Acura's current design direction just dreadful. I find the new TSX and TL just hideous, to the point that I wouldn't buy one (and I have owned a lot of cars I'd classify as less than lovely, aesthetically speaking).

So true. I had an '89 Si, and I loved it besides it being a total beater. I only paid $450 for it a couple years ago, so it obviously had it's problems, but I still miss it. After 4 years of owning Hondas, I really developed a knack for them, especially being a shade tree mechanic. I had to deal with a lot of people that had basic car maintenance on the very bottom of their "to-do" list.

To keep a long story short, Honda makes some great cars, but their stubbornness has cost them a deal or two as far as market share goes. Keep in mind the founder of this company was opposed to water cooling long ago, and his engineers convinced him otherwise. I have been told that Honda's manufacturing clout actually started making piston rings for Toyota, FWIW.

Yes, Honda makes some good cars for the money and especially their older cars. Take my commuter for instance:
96 Accord Coupe
I was surprised that driving quality and fun in this car, was better than some 2007/8 cars I drove, and it seems to me the interior quality felt much better than other models later on.

Back in the 90s lots of really good and fun cars were made (Applies to European cars too, BMW and Benz comes to mind)

Not sure; it would definetly be a good thing, as long as they keep the price close to what the TSX currently costs.

I've been driving my wife's 2004 TSX for a couple weeks now. 200 HP is just fine
