Not many people will be buying the Elite after Falcon / 65nm Premiums are out, since they will have the HDMI port too. Then Elites will be an extra $100 just for the black color and HD space.

I'm sure there will be plenty buying those as well. The extra 100GB HDD space comes in handy. Especially for those that make use of the Video Marketplace.

I would likely buy one as my next console (although I'd rather they just make it white like the other ones).

Well, elites have 80gb, and being able to install would be a positive selling point, not to mention a far more significant difference than a HDMI port that isnt even necessary on a 720p system.

Actually they have 120GB...and I agree it would be an awesome addition.

Yep, you're right, my bad. You'd think that something so trivial to implement would have already been done, but I guess with the majority of xboxes being 20gb, they must be figuring that when 2-3 games can fill the HD, there won't be any room left to buy any stuff from the marketplace.

But they really, really should implement it on the elite. That would actually make it far more elite than it currently is (which isnt all too elite), and I'd most definitely buy the elite version. I HATE load times.

What is the big deal about spending 5-10 minutes installing a game you'll be playing for hours? I've heard rumblings that MS is trying to enable playing PC games directly off the CD during install...why bother? Thats so backwards...

I had a 360, launch one. Never failed me, but I ended up selling it back in March because there was STILL nothing on it that I wanted to play. Halo 3, Blue Dragon, and other releases this holiday season will make me buy another one. And the reliable edition is coming at a perfect time.

youre funny.

anyway, the outrageous fail rate of the 360 is the only reason why i havent picked one up since gow has come out, now that blue dragon is nearly here i think im really gonna hurt for one, the reliable edition cant come sooner.

Do you have a Costco membership, or do you have a close friend or relative who has one?

my parents and a few of my friends do, but thats not the point. even having to miss a few minutes of gaming because of a rrod would be enough for me to go bonkers. mostly over myself for being dumb enough to buy one knowing the failure rates.

Eh, ok, whatever floats your boat.

I have a feeling a lot of the people who say they're waiting for the 65 nm 360 are just saying that so they can't be labeled as fanboys. ;)

I have a feeling that a lot of people who have the need to label others as "fanboys" are immature or suffering from some sort of mental/social disorder.

Choose whatever terminology you want. When someone says they're waiting months for a hardware revision because "even having to miss a few minutes of gaming because of a rrod would be enough for me to go bonkers" it makes you scratch your head.

You dont understand the kind of fustration that would occur when you take a chance, knowing full well the bad things that can happen and then having that thing happen in your face regardless of how lucky you felt??

What bad thing is going to happen? If your console dies, you take it to Costco and get a new one.

You know it's not like it happens all the time.

Joe consumer is better off with a console. No need to dumb down PCs, which is the entire problem with the GFW Live strategy.
