So CNN is supposed to report, what?? That "...This Morning, Wikileaks Founder Julian Assenge arose at 7AM, took a decidedly UNhealthy sh*t, and then proceeded to rub one out in the shower. I find it amazing that those of you who mistrust the government most would turn a blind eye to this information. He's not writing stories though. He's just publishing government documents.

There's a balance between privacy (even governmental privacy) and what Assange is doing. It doesn't seem that there is must interest in releasing the personal thoughts of some diplomat. What do we gain from knowing that the American Diplomat to Kyrgyzstan thinks that the British Prince is a moron?

Assange believes in no privacy. I think that's why he supposedly raped those women. He believes everything and everyone is fair game. He would publish your medical files.

These "shady corners of government with no oversight" are just diplomats. They have plenty of oversight. They are overseen by the executive. Ambassadors also go through a process of appointment with selection by the President and confirmation by the Senate.

In light of his actions, Mr Assenge should have fully expected that his personal life would be dug through and made public. Even aside from whatever actions taken by whatever Government, Quasi~Government, or Non~Government agency, it's a near certainty that *someone* is going to dig through your life.

Politicians and Celebrities have to deal with this on a daily basis, so he either should have known better, or he deluded himself into believing otherwise. Seriously: In a world where Jenifer Aniston has to see years old news on the front page that her and Brad are no longer together? Where <whoever> K Kardashian is fucking this week is worthy of TV? Where an off the cuff remark makes it to Prime Time??


The fact he's complaining about it is merely amusing.
