No you're definitely not the only one, I remember the Sega commercials about how they do what "Nintendon't", and the ones showing Sonic so much faster than slow old Mario.

The new Sonic actually looks kind of cool. I didn't really care too much for the Genesis Sonics, which might make me a heretic, but I remember being irritated that all three buttons made Sonic jump, there just didn't seem to be a lot of depth as compared to Mario, who had tons of things he could do, unique powerups and enemies, lots of ways to complete levels/secrets.

I loved the Genesis for many many titles, but Sonic never got me back in the day.

On that front, how about updated versions of Golden Axe, Space Harrier, Outrun, Afterburner, etc, for WiiU? That'd be epic, provided they were the right quality, and both true to the heritage as well as updating significantly. Arcade-style, easy to pick up, etc.

sonic could do more than just jump with that button though. he could also charge into the ball then take off like a rocket. then you had tails and knuckles in the later ones who also played much different and i think tails could float as well.

also you could roll as sonic instead of just running, which would take out enemies.

there were also multiple paths to take during levels to get to the end, where mario was pretty much 1 way, unless you were on a level that had a secret path on it.

it wasn't quite as basic as you made it out to be.

That and hidden powerups like becoming Super Sonic in Sonic 2. I loved the Sonic games and felt their speed made them funner than the Mario side scrollers of the time. And once they made a decent 3D Sonic for the Dreamcast, it just went downhill from there. The feeling of speed in that game was amazing.

Nope. I'm waiting to see Zelda and Metroid on ShooterBox or PS. We all know its going to happen.

I just hope Metroid continues using the red and blue subpixels on the ShooterBox and doesn't get the milky olive drab green brown Halo/GoW/CoD treatment of every other shooter.

While I should be vindicated and laughing being a SNES whore back in the day, I feel bad now for Sega and do long for the SNES vs Genesis days right about now.

The legend of zelda link to the past 2 looks a bit corny to me, nothing realy new, looks as if some low level kid could make a app on the I pod type zelda.

I have no problem with how it looks right now, but just saying it looks to identical to the old Link to the past to call it #2, my dis well just call it a remake with added features.

you aren't making any bit of sense.

and wtf does a 3ds game have to do with the wii u fall lineup?

A) No, it really doesn't. I mean, it tries to mimic the perspective, obviously, but even that is different.

B)Even if it did...isn't that kind of the point? It's a sequel, to a 20 year old game that has never had an official sequel. Obviously they're going to try and emulate as much about the beloved original as possible.
IMO, the original looks better. Good 2D ages like fine wine.

Nintendo should have delayed Wii-u's initial launch until a Zelda, real Mario, or Mario kart was ready.

Well, ideally they would have hit their launch targets on key games (or from third parties). They had a decent launch line up - its been the last six months that have sucked (and likely next two will suck as well)

I didn't touch my Wii-U since the first 2 days of crashing, downloads, and playing new super mario wii u and that mario land game. I don't expect I missed much since then.

They haven't done enough to justify not launching with a new Mario, new Zelda, or Mario kart. They could have gone "boom" if they launched with mario kart with working online play. Instead, they're booming the other way.

I expect Nintendo games on XBOX someday. The only thing we will miss, are those local 4 player party games that Nintendo is known for. The 3DS keeps them afloat, and even that hardware pales in comparison to the DS Lite.

Yup, that was a huge mistake not having good games or there usual top sellers ready...I mean it could of been like this guy said ^ Boom!

But it was more of a false start.

Or maybe a Wii U with a free 3ds in the box..

And you can get these for $150-$199..

how many do you think they'll sell ?

lol Why stop there? How many do you think they'll sell with a flux capacitor and hoverboard in each box, for $150?

I mean, since we're daydreaming and all... :p

Not much has come out to be honest, though those two games you mentioned were quite fun. Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is probably the best thing that has come out since launch. Lego undercover got good reviews too - but I didn't buy either of those.

Been using it to play through Skyward Sword, which is awesome!

I didn't get very far at all with skyword sword. I emulated it on PC to upgrade to 1080p with the Dolphin emulator. You need a beefy PC to run that thing even at 30FPS thougH (for skyword sword).

That's sort of the sad part, many people were already running "New Super Mario" in 1080p, by playing the original Wii version on their PC - lol. Of course the level design matters...but DOlphin emulation at 1080p is fantastic if your PC can handle it.

Its not daydreaming, they've done the same thing with the Wii, the DS, the Dsi.

Its only been a couple of months since they sold every yellow pokemon 3ds they made in a few days, if not hours.
