that sonic game looks pretty damn good.
am i the only one who finds it kind of amusing/ironic that sega is now making an exclusive title for nintendo?
No you're definitely not the only one, I remember the Sega commercials about how they do what "Nintendon't", and the ones showing Sonic so much faster than slow old Mario.
The new Sonic actually looks kind of cool. I didn't really care too much for the Genesis Sonics, which might make me a heretic, but I remember being irritated that all three buttons made Sonic jump, there just didn't seem to be a lot of depth as compared to Mario, who had tons of things he could do, unique powerups and enemies, lots of ways to complete levels/secrets.
I loved the Genesis for many many titles, but Sonic never got me back in the day.
sonic could do more than just jump with that button though. he could also charge into the ball then take off like a rocket. then you had tails and knuckles in the later ones who also played much different and i think tails could float as well.
also you could roll as sonic instead of just running, which would take out enemies.
there were also multiple paths to take during levels to get to the end, where mario was pretty much 1 way, unless you were on a level that had a secret path on it.
it wasn't quite as basic as you made it out to be.

The legend of zelda link to the past 2 looks a bit corny to me, nothing realy new, looks as if some low level kid could make a app on the I pod type zelda.
Zelda games are always top notch.
I have no problem with how it looks right now, but just saying it looks to identical to the old Link to the past to call it #2, my dis well just call it a remake with added features.

A) No, it really doesn't. I mean, it tries to mimic the perspective, obviously, but even that is different.
B)Even if it did...isn't that kind of the point? It's a sequel, to a 20 year old game that has never had an official sequel. Obviously they're going to try and emulate as much about the beloved original as possible.
IMO, the original looks better. Good 2D ages like fine wine.
My dis well bee, there awl the saime!I guess so, its just not what I invisioned, and arnt all the zelda games sequels in some ways?
Nintendo should have delayed Wii-u's initial launch until a Zelda, real Mario, or Mario kart was ready.
Or maybe a Wii U with a free 3ds in the box..
And you can get these for $150-$199..
how many do you think they'll sell ?
I didn't touch my Wii-U since the first 2 days of crashing, downloads, and playing new super mario wii u and that mario land game. I don't expect I missed much since then.
They haven't done enough to justify not launching with a new Mario, new Zelda, or Mario kart. They could have gone "boom" if they launched with mario kart with working online play. Instead, they're booming the other way.
I expect Nintendo games on XBOX someday. The only thing we will miss, are those local 4 player party games that Nintendo is known for. The 3DS keeps them afloat, and even that hardware pales in comparison to the DS Lite.
lol Why stop there? How many do you think they'll sell with a flux capacitor and hoverboard in each box, for $150?
I mean, since we're daydreaming and all...![]()
