And ebay isn't my only job, it simply doubles my income.. I wouldn't even make as much money if my 'real' job paid me $30/hr, 40 hrs a week. And what's not 'real' about making tens of thousands of dollars a year on ebay, year after year, putting in 10-20 hours/week

oh and by the way, I list my wiifits at .01, it's not my problem people want to give me $167 for them. All my clients are successful (as are most households who own a wii) which is why I don't powersell a lot other than wii/gamecube games or rare ps2 titles.

Just stay the hell away from concert tickets and I'll look the other way;).

I finally found one and got it before it was sold. Took me a total of about 2 weeks of calling about 15 separate stores which sell the damn thing, but I now have one. :)

CT, you are exercising your rights and your freedoms. I respect that. I just don't respect how you are choosing to do this for money knowing that it upsets a lot of people like me who have to go through extreme measures just to get one at the price that the vendors list it for. Some people in this world choose to not exercise certain rights which result in upsetting a lot of other people even though doing so will make them more money. Others do not place money so high on the totem pole of priorities in this world. These are the better people in my book. To me, it's not about the money. I can easily afford a $167 Wii Fit and I am willing to pay that amount for it. I just refuse to reward extremely selfish people like you who do almost anything just to make a buck regardless of the impact it will have on others. The best people in this world have much better standards. We do not survive the way that we do by being so selfish.

I blame Nintendo for the shortages. I blame you for having screwed up priorities which negatively effect the lives of others out of greed and selfishness.

If you really want to be productive, report him to the IRS for failing to report his eBay income.

and what if he does....ohh no lol
is it a requirement to do this now?

Is it a requirement to report all of our income to the IRS now? Yes, it has been for a long time. A lot of ebayers like to think of themselves as a business (and they are), but they don't like to deal with the inconvenient things like accepting returns or paying taxes. ;) I don't know if CasioTech pays taxes on his profit, but I'd bet the majority of small eBay sellers don't pay the taxes they owe.

everyone in this thread is either extremely jealous or just a HYPOCRITE.

I wonder what most of you do for a living, probably either working for a company which provides an absolutely worthless service or you sell snake oil.

boohooooooo, people are better who don't value money? Good luck finding someone who doesn't care about money. Are you a hedonist or something? I'm glad you have other priorities in life and you missed the point completely, all of you do.

All my auctions start at ONE CENT, if successful people outbid non successful people who will not pay more than retail because they are either poor or CHEAP, then why should they play the latest games before someone successful who takes care of the system? Why the fuck should I care? futhermore, why doesn't nintendo make them $49.99 instead of making 300% profit? So it's okay for corporations to net billions but the 'mom and pop' BM/ebay stores shouldn't exist?

and also, i'm sure everyone of you sell your games after you play them. That's taking BILLIONS of dollars away from publishers and developers but you're just 'exercising your rights.' And to think you're gamestop's best customers and their whole business is built on scamming.

hospitals charge your insurance companies $800 for a toothbrush, orthodontists charge $7,000 for braces these days and car dealerships will advertise an infiniti for $14,000 just to get you into their dealership when the deal isn't even real and the car 'sold' before the ad was even published. It's a dirty world, either get with it or get left behind in the gutter.

I could go on and on but it's really pointless.

LOL - you still don't get it. I don't think anyone will defend hospitals, insurance companies, etc. either. And FTR, i'm neither extremely jealous nor a hypocrite. I have a Wii Fit which I paid MSRP for, and I do not spend any of my time participating in activities of a low moral fiber such as yourself.

Ok, I have to bite... Let's do the math...

$30/hr is $60,000/year.

You claim to sell Wii Fits for $167 with an MSRP of $90 giving you a profit of $77 (not including shipping etc but we will ignore that) on each unit you sell.

So... what you are saying is you have sold 780 Wii Fits to earn your $60,000?

I think you are confusing revenue and profit among other things.

I don't sell JUST wiifits, but I have sold about 250 since launch, usually 8/day, 5 days a week.

Unlike most people here, I know the difference between net and gross my profit is ~$45 a piece. You must not know about listing fees, Feature fees, ebay closing fees and paypal fees and free shipping. So no I don't make $80 except about 15% of the time when I get lucky in a bid war.

I sell iphones, antiques, among other things, rare games, gamecube games (craigslist is my supplier ;)... mgs, terminator redemption, sunshine, mario tennis and about 35 more AAA titles for less than $2 a piece) , ps2 games (bought 150 ps2 games (very good- mint from this kid for $200 including titles such as GoWII and suikoden V on saturday... the games keep popping up everyday, I can hardly keep up!!! I can resell that for at least $1300 or more in Autumn. I recently bought 50 SSBB which I made a healthy $500 after fees and it was seamless.) and recently launched 3 new accounts and started using existing accounts which were dormant.

I can easily hit up ONE target and get 20 systems, I have 3 targets in the ghetto which are always empty and the best part is when the nosy haitians ask me what I do with about $2200 of wiifits, I tell them it's for my church program, oh dear, I used the lords name in vein! I also have some people help me and I hook them up with other merchandise, at cost. And about 3 more where old people live where nobody buys games... the other 2 are always sold out. The biggest thing for me was I cleaned out 3 costco's at launch, that was about 90 pieces there the rest was supplementation.

If you would like to know more about selling, I have a decent selling ebook on buying and selling electronics. For you ambitious startout sellers, i'll give it away for free if I like you. I accept CC's so you know it's not a shady ebook.

you should ask rossman how many wiis I sold before xmas @120 + profit.

I bet you are already out the door looking for some to sell yourself!

As a headsup, Featured Plus! is 50% off starting tomorrow.

you know, $90 could buy 10 kids in Africa fresh water for the rest of their lives. But your spoiled ass wants the latest bullshit gimmick to entertain your f*****s. Your priorities sure are #1!

as for me, I support 6 charities, including search and rescue, save the elephants, and the humane society and 3 non profit organizations including pbs. So My moral fiber is clearly much cleaner than yours.

now if you would excuse me, I have shipping labels to print. And no, not wiifit, PIKMIN2 BL for the GC

how is that different than what the fuck farmers are doing?

the average farmer makes $100 grand selling corn to fuel companies, do they care people don't have corn?

besides, that's the dumbest thing I ever heard.

You do realize that the vast majorities of farmers are not rich, right? And they are reliant on events which they have no control over. Until recently, life as a farmer has been utter hell, financially.

CT, you are the one missing the point here. It's really quite simple. There are tons of people and businesses in this world which I do not respect for various reasons but most of those reasons involve being what I consider too selfish and greedy to the point where it negatively impacts a lot of people to an unreasonable degree.

In your case, you might be just a small fry, but you are adding fuel to the fire all the same and therefore I will look down upon you with the same disrespect. You don't have to like that I feel this way. I don't really care if you do or not, but that's the bottom line and you are going to have to live with the fact that a lot of people look down upon you for what you do. What you do is upsetting a lot of people who are already dealing with major supply issues just so that you can make an extra buck. Your methods of earning money is making a lot of people very unhappy and to me that is just low class scum like behavior and thinking. Comparing yourself to others who are just as bad or worse than you is not making you look any better. It just puts you along side of them at their level.

I don't care how you justify to yourself why we are wrong and why you are right either. That doesn't matter. Everyone does that regardless of what they are doing. Criminals do that too. Every criminal does what they do justifying to themselves that what they are doing is not the wrong thing to do regardless of how many people it might make unhappy. Now, I am not saying that you are a criminal but you get my point I am sure. There are some people in this world who choose not to convince themselves of false justifications regardless of how they effect others and there are some people who do so they can continue to be selfish and still sleep at night. Which are you?

Also, you can toss away all of the jealousy and hypocrite nonsense. My job is very honorable and makes plenty of money. My total household income is doing very well although I am not what the US considers rich by any means and nor do I care. Money is very easy to make. Making money while living a good lifestyle that is respectable is much more challenging. I am a perfect example amongst many others which proves that one does not need to do crap like this in order to avoid getting "left behind in the gutter" as you put it. As I said earlier, this isn't about money anyways. This is about holding higher standards as a human being and proactively respecting others.

We are all selfish. It is quite normal to be that way. The difference is that some people limit their selfishness to a point where it only impacts their own lives while others don't care who it effects.

Come on dude. Didn't you know that all farmers are greedy selfish bastards who make over $100k selling corn for fuel, while we all have to live without it?

you guys are like a boring, broken record. Lets talk about amazon, who received a shitload of wiis before XMAS but didn't list them, so that they could make 15% on the used ones listed for $500. What do they make on a wiifit? I dunno, $15? $75 sure beats $15 on the hundreds of thousands sold during the holiday season.

saulbadguy, how does it feel I sold 50 ssbb's in 9 days clearing $500, when you said I would never be able too??? It's probably eating you up inside!

yes so they took the easy way out and sold out the people.

Inflation = That's the result of greed.. I spend $50 at whole foods, and have only about 8 items or less.. That's robbery. You guys don't make me feel worse, only show me that I have to keep doing what I do (and i'll work harder than ever now) so cheap snobs like you can't get what they want.

What do they make on a wiifit? I dunno, $15? $75 sure beats $15 on the hundreds of thousands sold during the holiday season.

saulbadguy, how does it feel I sold 50 ssbb's in 9 days clearing $500, when you said I would never be able too??? It's probably eating you up inside!

how is that different than what the fuck farmers are doing?

the average farmer makes $100 grand selling corn to fuel companies, do they care people don't have corn?

besides, that's the dumbest thing I ever heard.
