So rather suddenly today my laptop can't get an IP from my router anymore. It shows it connecting, pauses and then disconnects after it can't get an IP. The message is "out of network range" in the intel wireless program.
It doesn't seem to be the router, the logs there show it connecting but then a "pae disconnect" message. My Wii and ipod can connect fine to the router and connect to the internet.
Malwarebytes did find a trojan "java.exe" earlier today and I've had some problems lately with spyware infections on this laptop...
Running on XP with a intel wireless card (5 year old laptop, Pent. M 1.8ghz).
Any ideas?
TIA
