You just gotta get lucky. What people were doing on one forum to get the bear was just creating new characters over and over, leveling each one to 3, and then not playing the character anymore if they didn't get a bear or wolf. It's all random.

good stuff. I play WoW and have to wake up to this reality at times. I have 2 kids and don't start it up until after they're in bed (my wife follows to bed shortly after). I've tried to get my wife into WoW (you'd be surprised how many couples play together) but she won't even touch a computer when she comes home (she's in IT too). I guess I don't spend a lot of time with them all in all cause I'm doing my own thing too just before dinner/bath/bed. And I don't even go upstairs until 1am every night.
