Should the wife lose her job and default on the cars payments, the OP will be obligated to foot the bill. When you marry some one, you both become one financial entity. A car is a major purchase. If she wants to make major financial decisions without consulting him, I see no reason he should not be afforded the same ridiculous abilities.
Regardless, that was just a joke. I wasn't seriously suggesting he do that.
I didnt say that she sounded like a "jew" I said she sounded like a "JAP" which is not the same thing as a jew at all... A jewish woman who spends ridiculous amounts of money and is extremely spoiled and selfish is the definition of a "JAP"... his wife resembles this greatly. As it turns out she is white... so she is a "WAP". But whatever... there was no anti-semetism or racism in me (jewish) saying someone sounds like a "jap".

I don't feel rich then, I barely squeeze by, the big chunk of money I have is in 401K that I can't touch. we purchased the second house with a down payment using the equity line of credit from the first house.
my own checking account is showing $209 after I wrote that $3300 check. I had to move all my money from my ING account to cover it too.
I just like to whine and have people point at me and laugh. I'll ask her if I can post her pic.

Did it say they were celebrating Passover? No
Did it say she was attending a Bahr Mitzveh(sp?)? No

Calling someone that word, that is racist because your discriminating against black people.
Being Jewish is different. Judaism is a religion, not a race. If I call someone a stupid Christian, that isn't racist because Christianity isn't a race. Or are you, like many other people, naive to the fact that Judaism is a religion, and not a race?

Pepsei, I see this kind of thing all the time, and it makes me just a little sad every single time.
The first thing you and the wife have to do is get a handle on your finances. Regardless of whether someone makes $1500 a month or $15,000 a month, there should always be a budget plan there to make sense of the finances. Secondly, I'm more than a little worried about things if she didn't consult you at all before she bought the Lexus. Buying a car is a big deal; my aunt & uncle are very wealthy and they don't make a single large purchase without taking about it to the other. The conversation might be something as simple as, "Baby, I think I wanna get a new vehicle" "Okay Bobbie, then make sure you go talk to Roger so he can get yah the best deal", but they still talk about it - you never know what your spouse or signifcant other might know that you don't.
Don't end up one of those middle class families that gets up to their eyeballs in debt; money management is so important and it really kills me it isn't taught in schools. 99% of the time, you should know exactly how much money is in your savings, checking, and available on your credit cards... I also hope you guys have a credit card that provides some kind of rewards... cash back, FF miles, something, if you're going to use the plastic, at least make it work for you as well as the issuing bank.
