bah !! I suggested that there's a lot to be said for commonality of interests, she was an IT professional in her own right,this business is consuming, it's good to be with somebody who understands and isn't jealous of what it is that we all do 🙂

At any rate, the only opinions that matter in the issue are his and her's ! 🙂

Newsweek interviewed Bill and Melinda Gates a few months back.

She seems very down to earth....trying to be a good mom/wife, spending lot's of time with their charity, and trying to keep a low profile.
 
I dont think shes bad looking at all. Maybe a little plain, but, as you should all know, love is blind.
Love is also evil, manipulative, condescending, rabid, disgust...*cough* ahem....umm....sorry about that aside...

I think she and Bill make a good couple (looks wise).
 
There is nothing "adult" about respecting opinions regardless of their content. I respect opinions that are well-thought out, well-presented, entertaining, etc. Your attitude - of judging an individual solely based on physical appearance - gave no semblance of the opinion-holder having, at the least, a modicum of intelligence.

If you want to judge people solely based on their physical appearance, that's fine. Just don't expect me to respect you for doing so; or, better yet, post your pic and let all of us judge you solely based on it. Our opinions of you based solely on your appearance can't be worse than they are based solely on your posts.

Dude, you think too much. It's just a common sense, like a general public opinion. Does it need to be well-thought? No, because it's not important.
Just like when I'm walking on the street and see a very ugly guy going out with a very beautiful woman or vice versa, the first thing I'd say is "wow, I couldn't believe it!" and then I move on. Maybe they have some good reasons why they should be together. It's their choice. Do I care about it? No. Should I spend time to figure out why? No, it's not worth it.

Maybe someday I must make a decision to choose a woman for my life, I'd carefully think about it. There's a possibility that I'd rather marry an ugly one. But this is just for fun, who cares? You like or not? It doesn't matter to me at all. You don't respect me? It's fine. It's life, I don't expect everyone respect and love me.

Please take it easy and have fun! 🙂 But if you don't really like it, please don't read this thread. People come and go in this forum, I hope we all try to be nice with one another. I come to this forum solely to relax, have fun and get to know people from different places. Since we don't know each other's real life, I know my judgement against others is not always correct, and thus, I don't have any judgement against anyone else!
 
Hmmmm, maybe she looked a lot better 10 years ago or whenever they married. Maybe a couple kids put on some extra weight. Maybe she was his type! Who cares, you're not married to her, so why should it matte?

I would marry a girl regardless if she had money or not if I liked her. Of course it would be nice if she had a good job and had money of herself. But if she had no money I'd still marry her if she was the girl I was going to marry.....

I remember that. She graduated from Duke in computer sci and business administration, quite a match for Bill's geekiness and savage marketing tactic.

A divorce or two usually cures that condition Heather, some folks, including me, have to learn everything the hard way !!


Spend a few years with that "hot" guy or gal who doesn't have a clue as to what the hell you are talking about and who goes out of their way to cut off at the knee's any interest or aspiration you might have that doesn't center around them and you get a new perspective !

Personally what Bill Gates did is exactly what i would do if I were that rich. HOT women dont stay with you.. well 99% of HOT women.. cause if they do its for your money or otherwise..
