I don't get this "eat in kitchen" concept. Why do you need a table 5 steps from a table?

Good point. A treadmill could be placed there so everyone has a place to hang their jacket.why does anyone need a table?
for 25 years i've eaten while sitting at my computer
Well it's like Starbucks Coffee.
You walk out of Starbucks and what do you see, another Starbucks.
Make sure you build a master suite on the first floor for when you get old and don't/can't deal with stairs. No sunken living rooms either. If you have a wealthy family and big house and you want a nice cute little breakfast nook in the kitchen for convenience, as well as a nice big dining room to eat formal meals, I dont see that as a problem. But two rooms very close to each other and the same size and same table, I dont understand.
I do like the classic old fashioned American house style, with a huge first floor, big dining room, kitchen, family room, den. The Simpsons house is a perfect example, as is the Griswold house in Christmas Vacation.
One day when I get motivated and focused I'm gonna build my dream house.
In Sims 3.
I keep forgetting we have a Starbucks here now. I still have not went to it yet. My hair is long enough to make a man bun so I could fit right in. Just need a Macbook.![]()
More kitchen cabinets/countertops.Gotta fill all that McMansion space somehow
One of those bathtubs with a door on it too.Make sure you build a master suite on the first floor for when you get old and don't/can't deal with stairs. No sunken living rooms either.

We rarely eat at the dining table. Last house had a nice big island, this house has a big peninsula.
Dining table ends up as a catch-all...
