Why you aren't married yet

You are a male, older than age 25, and have no tangible hope of being married at the moment. You want to be married, but that woman (or man) seems to be eluding you. Here is why.
You have a personality problem. You are a bad listener and, when in a conversation with someone, you only like to hear yourself talk. You interrupt people or hardly give them a chance to speak. If you do let them speak, its only because you need a moment to think of what you're about to say.
You are a self centered person and are incapable of investing mentally and emotionally in someone else, which is what they need. People sense this and you are like long term relationship repellant. They just seem to scatter somehow.

I'm not married because I want to buy a house in the next couple years.

as a married couple, my boyfriend and I would make too much money to qualify for any of the state/federal programs for first time home buyers, but either of us would qualify for them as individuals.
 
i never got married, was with a girl for 5 years, we had two daughters together.... i loved her deeply, i still do... she was very beautiful, and if i can't have another one that looks as good as her, then i'll stay single forever i imagine...

i get lots of attention from females, when i go out anywhere, but i'm a major loner nowdays.....just my work, and my cat, and my family that lives close by..

it's lonely sometimes..... but porn > ugly girls
 
Because this forum is full of computer nerds. Im in a long term relationship so whatever. It does mellow you out. I can spot the loner workaholics a mile away now.

More likely: You have the self esteem and confidence of a garden slug.

The blowhard, self-centered, don't-listen types tend to do pretty well. On the surface of it, anyway. Get married, knock out a couple of kids, get divorced. Date again, marry again. Probably someone with her own problems and her own kids from a prior marriage. Get divorced again.

Or it could be that some people don't want someone around all the time. People try to conform to societal norms to the detriment of their own happiness. I've been married, and I'll never do it again. I don't need the hassle. I have work for that, and they pay me.

OP fails. He's making specific statements that will only apply to maybe 25% of the people here, and even that 25% will ignore him because they know he doesn't know them and is just shooting in the dark.

It's because he's compensating for a lack of affection in his private life. If he weren't such a jerkass and would just shut up maybe others would try to get close to him. Of course he can't, because of that incident in 7th grade, after that he forgot how to love anyone but himself.
