I agree, Dave.

Jobs have been lost to outsourcing and a slow economy. See, Lou Dobbs. :)

Anyway, kiss George goodbye while you can. :)

We've also had hurricanes and a shortage of flu shots on his watch....I'm pretty sure he's responsible for this little chest cold I've been having too. Now that I think about it, my car depreciated on his watch too.....IMPEACH HIM!!!

his watch?

the president has little effect on employment unless of course we have a draft or he signs more spending into law

OK, prove that the U.S. has gained jobs on his watch.

Prove that it's the president's fault jobs were lost.

I'm pretty sure if you skip the first 1.5 years since he took office, he actually gained jobs. One can certainly argue that you cannot blame him for the job loss that took place during, at the very least, his first year in office.. But, everyone takes the jobs figures from day 1 of his administration. Since his tax cuts were implemented jobs have been growing quite nicely.

the aftermath of 9/11 left our nation with many challenges...

it is the ceos and presidents of companies that hire and fire...dont forget that.

I was once told by a wise man "I never was given a job by a poor man"

Surf around on the site I linked above and you will see plenty of Bureau of Labor statistics which prove Bush is 1. Not the first President this century to lose jobs during his term. 2. That Bush's job numbers are better than those of Clinton during his first term.

Not every job lost is his fault.

I got a GREAT paying job on his watch. As far as I am concerned, I owe my family's livelihood to him!

I'll prove it by proving the opposite is true. Bush claims he has created more jobs and turned around the economy. If this is true, then the opposite has to also be true.

Their are plenty of high paying jobs available in Iraq. Just don't go bitching on tv when they kidnap and threaten to behead you.

The unemployment rate has risen from 4.2 to 6(Dec2003) percent under BUSH.

But 6% is not a terrible # comparing to the past rates.

Ronald Reagan was President from 1981 through 1988. Then it was George H. W. Bush through 1992.

The problem with the unemployment rate is that it only takes into account the persons who looked for work in the month. What that means is, people who didn't not look for work (for any reason) were not counted.

Yup, and it was at 5% when RR left office after 1988.

That includes the many self-employed people as well.

If you want to blame someone then look to the Politicians who sent President Clinton NAFTA ( witch Clinton signed into law )

NAFTA = outsourcing.
