They have a dedicated Raspberry Pi forum now... and it hasn't had new posts for months.

That kinda bums me out, since a lot of those posts were mine! I guess that I need to dust off my RP2 and make it do something cool.

Do mods/admins choose how the forum changes or do the people over at AT choose changes

I'm not joining a fucking discussion club with you guys.

This is total BS.

At least now if my internet history gets pulled at work, they'll see I'm part of an OT Discussion Club and I might be able to twist that into my favor. Off Topic was getting hard to justify.

I just remember the Peripherals sub-forum, I don't remember any specific "Mice" or "Keyboards" sub-sub-forums, before this re-org.

Oh. I just assumed those were old forums. I didn't think anyone would actually fragment a dying forum even more by creating new subforums.

Someone needs their coolcoins taken away from them....

Yeah, I just realized that I can't award Coolcoins for awesome Off Topic posts anymore because the Off Topic forum technically doesn't exist now. I guess that I need to get Perknose to change that for us.

Maybe we should open up Coolcoins for that new Raspberry Pi forum as well, so we can get some cool hacks posted there :)

There are two stickied posts at the top from a former member who was run out of town on a rail that have dictum's that conflict with the long history of OT.

Somebody in power needs to decide which way this subforum should go. A place to post whatever is on your mind at the time or a place for serious discussion. I suppose it could be both but not with the rules in place that were retained after the merge.

Edit: The two posts have been removed.

Instantly knew that they merged Discussion Club but still amused that they describe it as a “Pub” (exact opposite of what they were going for when they founded D.Club). I’m even more amused to see “Discussion Club guidelines” stickied at he top! Uhh, if this is still OT, then those are a little out of place, right?

I went through the first several pages of topics in the forums and couldn't identify anything that looked non-ATOT. Pointy elbows? LOL. It's all the usual trash.

This one?

https://forums.anandtech.com/forums/raspberry-pi-and-single-board-computers.86/

Just 28 threads, and only one from the past two years, plus a handful of 10-15 year old threads that look like they were culled from FS/T.

Someone really did a hack job on that if that's a new forum. Must have run a script that found keywords and shuffled a bunch of unrelated old crap into that forum without even looking at the results.
