Because Edwards Can Beat Bush!!!
When potential voters are shown pictures of candidates by pollsters, Edwards receives extremely favorable ratings

That just cheapens his stance on the issues, imo.
As does this:

What is this? American Idol?
But, he'll most likely get my vote in the primary and, hopefully, in the general election.

Herman Munster is not that cosmetically appealing

Considering the number of Democrats that have chosen electability as their number one reason for voting for a particular candidate, I don't see any problem with those statements.
By the way, he is correct. He is far more electable than John Kerry.

He does even have a snowballs chance of carrying his own state come the general election (remind you of anyone else).
Edwards is a joke to people here in North Carolina.
Has anyone even stopped to ask why he is even remotely qualified to be president?

Oh yeah thanks to that Edwards site link, thats the funniest thing I have seen in ages......
"Not part of the elite", "Not Beholden to Special Interests", "Republicans are Scared of Him"
Who makes this stuff up???????? Damn funny stuff no Sh*t
Well, when you look at the polls that say most dem voters just want someone who can beat Bush (and vote for Kerry because of this), it becomes important for Edwards...Originally posted by: conjur

How many voters know nothing about Kerry except that he's leading in the race for the Democratic nomination?
People forget that every story with a headline like "Kerry would beat Bush if the election were held today" also contains a short blurb that shows those same respondents would pick Edwards over Bush...
But yes, there are plenty of reason to support Edwards otherwise![]()

As a Libertarian or moderate, he's not that bad of a choice. Much better than Kerry imho

Notice that the site did not discuss any issues at all (unless you consider the linking to speeches, but he doesn't say a whole lot then, either). The whole page seems to be say "oh, look I'm more attractive than Kerry, and I can win," rather than showing what he stands for. I've noticed this trend on whole for the Democratic party this year. They seem more concerned with winning than trying to talk about issues.

You talking about www.john-edwards.net or www.johnedwards2004.com or both? The first site being an un-official site ( And as such, is a tad fanboy-ish). And the second being the official site. Just Curious.

I was referring to the unofficial one.
The official site is a bit better, but feels more like empty rhetoric than real statements of view.
