LOL like my brother: nearly 6'2" and is AT MOST 150LBS...He is so skinny that if he was a little sharper he would look like a pencil.... errr... 😉 😛

Now me, I am 6'2"+ and weigh around 200LBS.... 🙂

<< Hostess fruit pies >>

Have you guys read the nutrition box on these things? Its crazy!.... pure poison, and a guilty pleasure.

BEER!! Lots and lots of it!

To quote homer simpson, "Here's to alcohol. The cause of, and solution to all of life's problems."

🙂

"I'm so light -- I eat everything, and I cannot gain weight!"

Oh, STFU!! Write a little note to yourself that says that and then date it for opening when you hit about 25. Open it up and then you'll understand the implications of your "situation".

Relish it while you can!

It is all about the carbohydrate consumption. If you wasnt to lose weight then you eat protein, if you want to gain weight then eat carbohydrates and fat together. If all you eat is fat you wont lose weight, because you didnt give your body the fuel to put the fat into the cell. Eat the peanut butter but make sure you add the jelly and the bread! Otherwise your body will have to breakdown fat to find a way to keep the peanut butter you gave it.

/me @ 17 was 6'3", 185, most muscle.
I ate what I wanted, when i wanted, and never gained an ounce

/me @ 23 6'3", 230, mostly not muscle.
I have to stop eating my favorite foods.

I am skinny guy too, and I really want to be fat. Someone let me get a vaccum tube and suck your fat and put it in me. Deal?

I think you should be careful with creatine. There was some research just published that suggested it would induce a higher risk of cancer. I know that in France they are warning about it, here in the nordic countries they are not yet but they're saying they don't recommend it. Additionally there is really no research that suggests any major gains in muscle from using it, it's mostly water buildup which could be ok if you just want to look big, but negative if you are an athelete.

Get a job. I've put on some massive poundage since graduating college. Of course, being a programmer probably doesn't help 🙂

First off, I'm assuming those of you who said "I'm skinny and I want to get fat" don't really mean that. Being fat is unhealthier than begin skinny (unless severe case) - higher risk of heart attack, higher cholesterol, etc. I'm assuming you just don't want to be seen as skinny anymore - whether that means getting muscle or fat. As some people said already, you want to get "buff" 😀

I'm in the same "predicament" Throughout high school, I was always around the 120-130# range at 5'7" - 5'10" Pretty skinny yes...I ate what I wanted, whenever I wanted, and etc. Never gained anything. Of course, I played sports daily, but I also sat on my @$$ at the computer playing games and stuff. 🙂

Now I'm 21 and about done with college. I'm still 5'10", but I'm about 155#s. The "Freshmen 15" holds true. I gained 15 pounds easy freshmen year. I'm not skinny anymore, but slim 😀. I've been lifting also, so I'm guessing that helped a bit also.

Summary: Weight increases with time 😀

For those of you who want to LOSE weight, I have one question: do you do anything outside the computer? I mean, if I were "fat," I know that I'd be working out and doing stuff every day. Maybe follow Jared from Subway 🙂 But I'm also saying this having never been fat. Probably easier said than done, right?

Ah, more wiry people. 6'-0", 140 lbs here. My idea of eating healthily is to cut down to one Hostess Cupcake per day and only a quart or so of whole milk. 🙂 If family history is any indication, I'll stay like this until I hit 60. Best gift I ever got from Grandpa was his genetics. Anyway, at fifteen you could still have quite a bit of growth left in you so don't worry about it too much. Besides, as long as you are healthy and are decently strong there's nothing to worry about.

EDIT: I managed to defy the "Freshman 15", actually with all the walking around to classes and other things, I lost a few pounds during Freshman year.

Age doesn't always change it. My biological mother had six kids and still is a size 6. I'm a size 2, and I eat all the time. Nothing I eat makes me gain weight. The only time this really hurts me is when I get sick. When I'm sick I normally lose 5 pounds in one day. 🙁 I consider it a gift from God though because a lot of people can eat a healthy meal and still gain weight. Consider yourself fortunate. However, if it bothers you consult with your general practioner.

Get some protein shakes and start working out boneboy. I did it, I'm 6'.5 and now 159 lbs... and gaining. I work out a seperate muscle group each day of the week, with one day of rest. Its been going great, my bench is soaring and my arms are getting noticeably larger. the only problem is that I've got a really long neck with the _bigest_ adams apple you've ever seen. my body from my neck down looks like some buff guy, but then you hit my neck and it just keeps climbing haha. its really odd, I don't know how to gain neck mass 😉

I was pretty puny in high school. Around my sophomore year or so, I grew several inches but didn't put on much weight. I was about 5'11", 145 lbs when I left high school. I left for basic training 6 months after graduating, at about the same size I just described. After a few months of intense physical activity (boot camp will do that to ya 🙂) and eating more food than I ever though possible (boot camp will do that to you also 😀) I was about 175 lbs.

After spending the last several years at a desk job, I'm about the same weight, but there's a bit more pudge than there was 8 years ago. Time to join a gym. :Q

i'm 5'6 was 112 about three weeks now 120 WOOP! I have some muscle, bought a bench press set and some free weights off the hotdeals. I'm going out to football next season also 😛, no joke. Also I suggest BEER, that will gain some weight. Where might I get some protien shakes and whats the best?

Oh ya I workout almost everyday now until my muscles cant take it 30-min to a hour. I'm going to ask my about Growth hormone I need it.

I'm one of those lucky bastards who have a high metabolism too. It's my freshman year and I haven't gained or lost any weight. I'm still at 5'11" and 140lbs. 🙂

<Skinny people that gain weight just tend to get a funny looking E.T gut anyways>
LOL 😀

At 30 years old, my metabolism has slowed a tiny bit. Meaning that I have actually put a little fat on. Just enough to cover the striations in my muscles when they're not flexed (which to me looks kinda ugly). I didn't want to always look so ripped so I haven't worked out at all for 3 months and that's helped put a thin layer of fat on. Very thin.

Just letting you know that you might be an endomorph for a long time. Exercise, eat right & don't worry about how slim you are. In the end you'll be able to climb more stairs and use less soap.

Lucky b*stard. I'm 5'11" and 210lbs. Trust me, you don't wanna overdo it. Gaining the weight is a LOT easier than taking it back off. When I was 13-14 everybody said I was too skinny (and my dad wanted me to play football in high school) so I started eating a lot more. Back then I lifted weights (and did make the football team) so the weight wasn't bad. Finished school though, stopped football and weights eventually and then all that extra weight just droops into a mass of unwanted you. I've been trying to get my weight under control again for a year now. Going down though. Was 225lbs 6 months ago. With luck I'll have a 1 in front in 6 more months (and still be in the 3 digit range 🙂).

I am the Extreme opposite of your problem. I'm about 5'11" and weight ~250 lbs by now. I'm actually losing weight. About a month ago I weighed 20 more pounds. Skipping lunch entirely, not eating any breakfast, and barely eating supper have helped a lot.

Consider yourself lucky. Right now I would kill to be anorexic(sp?).
